Japanese Mythology and Symbolism in Naruto

I recently wrote a sort of "Narutology 101: An Introduction to some of the Japanese mythology that is symbolised in Naruto" Essay.

It's kinda nerdy and long, but if you are interested in Japanese culture in general or getting a bit more insight into why so much of Naruto is the way it is then please feel free to head on over to it and take a look. It gives some background why people are called or act  the way they do or why jutsu do what they do, and such. I have tried to put in as many link and references to for the real geeks among you!

Obviously, its pretty spoilerific so I would be careful unless you're up to date or don't mind knowing what is coming.
