A few days ago during Math lessons I noticed that someone carved the word "Gaara" followed by the japanese word "ai" at the corner of the table i was sitting at. I was sooo~~ happy that there's another Naruto fan who sits at that table!! In the end I learn nothing 'cause i was too distracted by that. This good friend of mine happened to sit next to me and she was totally like -_-||

A few weeks before that we were having a race of some sort and then while I was running I suddenly thought of concentrating my chakra in my feet.(Like how Sasuke did to gain speed to dodge Haku's needles XD). I kept that in mind so that I had something to concentrate on other than how tired I was. I didn't win in the end but hey, at least I managed to finish the entire thing without stopping! Usually I would have just gave up halfway. I'm so proud of myself =DD The next day I told that same friend about it and all she did was to roll here eyes u.u

There was also once when she lent me a copy of Archie Comics. I immediately turned to the back of the book and started reading from right to left (subconsciously! I swear XD) Of course, I couldn't make head or tail of what is happening. I told my friend that and she turned to looked at me with this weird look on her face. It was then that I realised that I was reading it the wrong way >.<

And just yesterday, I was out shopping with a bunch of friends. One of them mispronounced the word "anime"(she said "eh-nee-mee"! How absurd is that?!?) and I gave her a super long lecture on why doing that was the greatest sin in the world ever committed XD Jokingly of course. But I just had to! We can't have people going around mispronouncing one of the greatest things ever created, can we?

Well, that friend of mine was there too.

Her conclusion? I've been brainwashed by anime. Especially Naruto.

My conclusion? She doesn't know what she's missing out on!

Haha. So, has anyone else here been brainwashed?

While watching Revenge/Return of the Sith/King, I kept thinking that every guy who died would suddenly turn into a block of wood and the real guy would pop up perfectly fine.

And I kept thinking "WTF, Yoda?? Kage bunshin and flatten his ass!"

Yeah.

Sometimes I'm watching TV and get SO confused because there aren't any subtitles. One time I turned on the TV and caught myself thinking - "WTF IS THIS?! No subtitles! How am I supposed to understand anything?!" Then I realized I didn't NEED subtitles because I was watching That 70s Show. XD

Naruto has taken over my brain, and Naruto fans are going to take over the world.

I practice handseals. In class.

When I see anything Naruto-related in a shopping mall, I squee. When I see a volume of the Naruto manga on a classmate's desk, I squee and borrow it. When I eat ramen, I squee over the narutos floating in the soup.

I'm always focusing my chakra to help with the task at hand. XD And my hands idly form seals when they're not otherwise busy...
I like adding 'no jutsu' to the end of stuff I do. -__- My Mum's even started doing it and making up her own jutsu. 'Armchair no jutsu' is pure genius. XD

Brainwashed? Hmm, I don't know. I am used to reading comics both ways (left to right or right to left). Though I do tend to get overly excited when I see products related to my favorite fandoms. Even more so if it is totally unexpected. Yesterday I was reading a book totally unrelated to Naruto or Shonenjump, and there was a minor character named "Naruto" (who works at a Ramen shop). I giggled.

But I think it's a good thing to have something to rave about. It's better than taking everything with an "eh, whatever" attitude. It may seem silly to people unfamiliar with Naruto, but doesn't everyone have some sort of "fandom" (whether it be of movie, singer, hobby, profession, or money) that makes them squee, makes their day and gives them something to go on? And in some cases makes them unconsciously change their habits?

And like how you found a carving on a desk and was glad that there's another Naruto fan, it helps you make new people. Speaking from experience, it's amazing how easy it is to strike up a conversation with a stranger sitting next to me when I'm using a Naruto image as a desktop! A nice thing to have in a computer lab.

If this is called brainwashing, I'd say it's a good one.

I'm proud of being brainwashed XD kukuku! ok... that too 'kukuku' is a good example... I even tend to laugh like that iRL XDD REALLY!

And I've noticed recently, when i go to a store see if i can find some new clothes... i tend to seek out something that would remind of.. ANYTHING that a character in Naruto would wear x_x really!
And I love to wear just for fun that Konoha forhead proctor of mine (around my neck of course)... not everyday though XD But I really love to imagine that I was a real Konoha ninja (might sound ridiculous said by a 21 year old XDDD)....
right...

And my desire is to imitate villains of Naruto x_x my recent problems iRL had just encouraged me to think that... I'm an angsty little bastard like Sasuke for example <_< but... i guess that's true. I am XDD

I've been brainwashed by Naruto so much my Dad has taken to calling me Gaara when he wants my attention. I drew Ninjas on my halloween pumpkins last year, and quote the anime to people I know at school. (mostly Gaara quotes cause I think they are the most fun to say.) X)X)X) Being brainwashed is fun!

I don't think I've been brainwashed quite the same way as you guys as I don't really get confused with the reading and such but if someone is even foolish enough to bring up anime(particualrly bleach and naruto obviously), JMA's, and nihonto I will go on and on and on and on and...you get the point hehe ^^. Actually when I do my iaido classes since i have a full black uniform I sometime think of bleach lol.

XD I caught myself practicing handseals on my couch after I had denied three minutes earlier to my brother that I was obsessed.

Yes, Naruto should take over the world! It would be a better place full of ninjas, ramen, and a place where its alright to pursue your dreams as a sexy homicidal cloak-wearing weirdo.

And its okay if your head is a plant...

Or you want to kill everyone ever...

Or you can pull bones out of your body...

or...

I think you do have a point there, and I've mentioned it myself before. It really does give you something to go on, and there are a lot of lessons in that show/manga that are just plain good to learn ^_^

Also, for a lot of people it's really gratifying to be a part of some large group of people sharing the same mentality. Naruto is a really fun fandom to be a part of, there's a lot of jokes and good feeling spread around. Being part of a big group like this that has members all over different parts of the world even, its pretty cool. We feel all special ^_^

Oh me me! My friends just started classifing me as a "ninja" as much as I would talk about Naruto to them, and when I would get tired I'd tell my friends "my chakra is low :[".

I think of Naruto 24/7! Even have dreams of Naruto ♥ I think it's normal! Well, to me.

Sometimes (most notably when I desperately needed to pass my economics final) I'll do Shikamaru's little concentration hand gesture. And it works (I got an 82 on that final)!!

I also keep reading comics and others things from right to left.

Let's not even discuss how many times I misread or mishear things... erm, for instance, in your post when you said "She doesn't know what she's missing out on!" I read it as "She doesn't know what she's missing out nin!" You know... missing nin. Aheh.

I find a bunch of not so subtle ways to slip Naruto references into daily conversation, and on school papers.

I've also had a few dreams about Naruto, one of which involved a phone conversation with Sasuke's long lost uncle, Mark Uchiha. XD

I need Naruto rehab!

-raises both hands- At school I always do handseals and try to use chakra to climb on the wall. I fall all the time. >_> I try to read everything backwards and then my teacher looks at me like I'm retarded and asks me to turn the book around. I have already annoyed my friends to death about Naruto. (they aren't Narutards)oh and at summer school I met alot more naru fans I like glomped a random guy that i didn't even know just becasue he was wearing a hitai-ate like Shika and a beltbuckle of the mist.

Ah, I did that with Megatokyo a few dayz ago. It took me til' the end of that weeks comic to figure out that I read it backwards. *sweatdrop* ....I do the chakra thing too. Ah, we should open a 'brainwashed by Naruto' community. XD

omg. you guys are really obsessed. XD The most I do is just wear the Naruto hitai-ate wristband either around my right wrist or on my ponytail. lol. Other than that I'm pretty much normal, although I have unconsciously read english books right to left sometimes because of all the unflipped manga I own. XD

Ah, I do that all the time, what with reading stuff the wrong way. Most of the time I don't even remember which style goes with which langauge. ^_^U But other then speaking common catch-phrases in either langauge (Japanese or English), and obsessivly checking LJ for updates, and drawing them on every single piece of paper...naw, I'm not obsessed. *realized she used the word "obsessivly" and that her arguement is shot*

On the other hand, I'm trying my hardest to brainwash my little sister into Naruto. A little more effort and she'll say "Dattebayo!" after everything.... *smirks*

Haha, that is really funny. xD Something I would have done myself. *is brainwashed as well*

I noticed that someone carved the word "Gaara" followed by the japanese word "ai" at the corner of the table i was sitting at.

When I used to live in a quiet suburb, I thought my school had no hope for crazy anime fans. They were just not interested. *gasp* One day some kid in the older grade came to school wearing a chuunin vest. And I think I was the happiest girl at that time. I pointed it out to him and I showed him my anbu tattoo and now we're friends. xD

Now I live in a busy part of New Jersey, and seeing people wear an Uchiha symbol on the back of a t-shirt is considered an everyday thing. Hee. =D

A friend of mine and I do the Lee-Gai routine all the time. And she does an eerily accurate Lee impression.

The two of us, along with another friend, say YOSH! a lot, especially instead of "okay". "I'm leaving the thing with blah blah" "Yosh. *thumbs up*"

I had an Akatsuki dream once. KisameMEItachi OT3! :3

After reading the other comments, I will probably add "no jutsu" to everything and do hand seals randomly. Post Comment no Jutsu! :O
