I like the style, the color scheme, how you've made Sasuke and Sakura look cute, team 7's wardrobe, and how cool Sasuke looks. (Is there anything bad I've got to say about these wallpapers? No. ^^) They're just awesome, I wish I could draw like you! XD

Forgive me; I got all gleeful over your icon I was rendered a bit babble-happy there for a minute. Better now.

Thank you so much; since the time-jump had been introduced I'd been toying with the potential that would undoubtedly go untested. Having such a motivated step-off point is an artist dream. And I'd like to think that even though the three of them are similar to the Sannin's before them, that they are not doomed to be carbon copies. I mean, Naruto and Jiraiya couldn't look more different if they tried, regardless of how obnoxious, rude, perverted or loud they tend to be. Sakura is still Sakura even if she has Tsunade's heavy-handed talent's behind her, which unfortunately leads to her terminally having a bad sense of style and colouring that will always clash with her hair. And I don't see the likeliness Sasuke turning into Mini!Orochumaru, like people seem to be theorizing and since he's determined not to follow in his brother's path, I would imagine he would be trying his best to step away from that image. Again, potential that will more than likely go unexplored. But you can't fight cannon as much as we can try, and god knows I'm trying XD

Aw, thanks for complimenting my icon. And um...I'm glad that it can make someone happy. Myself don't think too much of it; I think it's generic (and obnoxiously colorful). Your icon is much better -- it's even animated!

No need to be sorry! Sasuke has been seen with snakes, or in Orochimaru-like fashion, more than a few times. That's probably where most people get "Sasuke=Orochimaru" idea.
Well, there's lot of parallels that has to do with team 7. There's that thing with the legendary sannins like you mentioned, then there's the thing with Kakashi's old team, and the first Hokage & his friend, etc. So I don't think there's any need to stick too closely to the sannin example. After all, the two teams are quite different, like you said.
Personally, I want Naruto to beat Sasuke within an inch of his life, and bring him back. Then Sasuke will cry his eyes out, repent, and go to the Academy to teach little ninjas-to-be's why they shouldn't talk to strangers. Sakura can...establish the Sakura Cross or something.

When the world of cannon doesn't go your way, there's always the wonderful world of fandom. Isn't this a lovely discussion! (Or so I think.)

You have an absolutely brilliant colouring style, are those markers or inks?

Sakura's hotness levels have just increased by 70%. I commend you. XD

Mostly just markers and a .5 mechanical pencil. The markers took really well to the pencil-details I didn't need to go over it much, which is a good thing since I only had one pen with me the whole vacation ^^;
