I got frustrated with this particular page (page 02) because I redrew both Sakura and Naruto at least 10 times each (no, not exaggeration.) I'm really horrible at drawing Naruto, and Sakura's hand didn't want to cooperate. Both of those two frames just died on me and I ended up not sleeping as I tried to figure out those two frames. In the end, I just left it like that and went to tackle Sasuke. Who didn't feel like cooperating either (and he did so well in the first page...) So all in all, we have a page that has a whole bunch of repetitive art. The frames are all very similar to each other with only slight differences, so I got to utilize the standard "meet-the-deadline-shortcut": copypaste/trace.

Hopefully my next page will be better, but at least this boring part is done. I actually hit the blockade (not how-to-draw-Sakura-and-Naruto blockade, different one) before I even started this page. The fact is, I can't draw kimono - you see how Sakura's turned out. So kimono have a larger part in my original plan in the later pages, but seeing as I just can't draw kimono no matter how many times I try (I refuse to spend even more time on it right now,) I had to think of some other way. I think I'll survive if only Sakura's wearing the kimono. I don't really see how I'd be able to get Sasuke and Naruto into a boy's kimono anyway - it wouldn't fit my (albeit textless) storyline.

...There hasn't been any background. It's not necessary at this point, but there'll be background later on! Promise! ...Gawd I suck at backgrounds... Ah well, in any case, I hope you like the doujin. I haven't really drawn a comic before...mostly just pictures and random frames slapped onto a piece of paper. Anyway, besides the point. Let me know what you think of it? Both comments and criticism are very much appreciated.

And um...I'm tired of talking about NaruDarth so I'll keep that update until next time. (But thanks so much for the 1000 hits on the DA version of NaruDarth.)
