So yes, on thursday i ran off and bought Nightlife, cause I am a Sims whore. I'm still working on getting all the kinks out, mostly disabling all the hacks i had that can't transfer over to the new expansion pack. not a pretty picture. But i must say, downtown is smokin, and the new features will make for interesting gameplay and storylines ^_^

it's sims 2 on the PC, with the University expansion pack, and now the Nightlife expansion pack.

as for skins, i mostly download bits and pieces from modthesims2.com or sims2.com, then turn them into the characters through tweaking, but the ANBU outfit was a gift from a talented simster (who also hooked me up with the lovely Kurenai skin i use).

This has TOTAlly inspired me to retry my SIMS2 I got bored with my Naruto characters because they just didn't have the right skins. I just have one question (or 2)
1. Do the expansion packs alter the original game settings (like chars?)
2. Is it possible to add features even after the sims was made months ago? Like Gaara's tattoo? *big, wet, Naruto eyes*

1) expansion packs do not alter characters, just game hacks that are not compliant. This may sometimes include hair/body meshes, but i have yet to run into problems with that.

2) normally yes, as most of the features are clothes, hair, or make-up (like gaara's tatto is in the eyeliner category) and can all be changed by clicking on any given mirror. But, some of the features are in the custom skins category, which, from my experience, can only be accessed through the initial making of the character.

hm, that is unfamiliar territory. I really can't say anything about the Mac, and how things will run. I do know that lagging is very annoying, more so than long load times, and i think that would be the biggest problem.

as for Sims on the PS2, I don't know. I could never really imagine playing sims without a mouse, and it would take away the downloading aspect, wouldn't it?
