Bloodlines again...
Nov. 13th, 2005 08:11 pmSo,
sitakhet's last post here got me thinking again on one of my favourite Naruto topics.
That being, will we ever see Sasuke and Neji fight? This, in my opinion, would be an awesome showcase of the 2 fine bloodlines we know of in Konoha, going fullforce.
Based on the story so far, we can probably surmise that Sasuke would have the upper hand, simply because he beat Naruto (barely) and Naruto whooped Neji in a fair fight.
Neji's certainly become better as a ninja and we're all hoping Sasuke has too. If he hasn't, then I hope Orochimaru boiled him and ate him alive. Anyway, we learn way in the beginning that Sasuke and Neji probably have this rivalry going on, simply based on their blood limits. *Intense DBZ glare passes between them both* This has always fascinated me. They both use eye techniques and they both have immense amounts of talent not just handed down from their families. Their eye abilities differ greatly too. Sasuke can't pinpoint the chakra points right? And he also can't see right rhough everything in a certain radius. Though he can see chakra flow and copy techniques.
I love both these characters. They angst a lot. They're both bishies, yadda yadda (getting fangirlism out the way) and they both encountered the ever-lovable Naruto.
Now, seriously, in what way could Sasuke beat Neji completely? I'm just opening the floor to discussion. I have thought about a million different angles, but my brain never makes any sense out of them.
Will Kishimoto ever let us see this type of battle between two insanely talented shinobi who aren't really considered buddies? Or will we only get to the inevitable Sasuke/Naruto brawl?
also for sanity's sake xD Wikipedia says: Neji is the only known Hyuuga clan member whose first name does not start with the voiceless glottal fricative.

Date: 2005-11-14 01:37 am (UTC)Unfortunately for Sasuke, I think his Sharingan would only be useful in helping him dodge the hits from Neji's Jyuken. He could possibly copy the moves, but without chakra control like Neji's, I doubt he could actually use the Gentle Fist as its meant to be used.
I don't know... I just don't see any outlets for Sasuke to win, unless he decides to outsmart Neji like Naruto did. That's not really Sasuke's style, as he likes to be a lot more straight-forward in his fighting.
This whole thing would probably confuse the heck out of Kishimoto as well, so he'll never do it XP It would be one heck of a fight to draw out, but it would be awesome.
If its worth anything... I beat Neji with Sasuke in the Naruto GCN game... XD

I love the bloody Gamecube Naruto games! ARGH, I want a GC. I watched a bunch of videos on the games online and I wanted to cry...will we ever have the english version with a free Gamecube thrown in? Oh, one of the best matches i watched was Neji vs Hinata and she KILLED him! Ahaha, but he was soo seeexeh...This is totally beyond my point! I'm so sorry =__=

Date: 2005-11-14 11:36 am (UTC)I'm guessing that if Sasuke and Neji were on spar on speed, Neji would probably win. (No offense, Sasuke-kun.) Because by the gentle fist, he could close Sasuke's chakra channels--and hard it is to admit, most of Sasuke's signiture techinques involve chakra in them, so they become rendered useless. (Chidori, his Katon moves, etc.) The shishi rendan would probably be of little help, since Lee is, after all, Neji's long-time teammate and he would know Lee's moves like the back of his head.
Now, this is if they were on par on speed. But if Sasuke were faster than Neji... it could become a whole different story. He'd have an advantage with the Sharingan, being able to see Neji's attacks and all. And hey, maybe Orochimaru taught him Kuchiyose. (Sasuke summoning Manda is something I want to see, *drool*)
