Am i the only one that feels a strange void because they aren't watching the filler? I don't want to really watch but recently I've missed the show a lot and I've been watching re runs because i really feel like I've abandoned the show. Maybe i just love it too damn much.

I'm not the only one not watching the filler, am i?

I just dont want to spend all that time waiting for my ep to finish downloading just to be dissapointed by the lack of action. The last one i watched was the one where they had to find that bounty hunter hunter hunter something. And it felt like it went on forever, and Naruto, Hinata and Kiba just...fell on the floor because that guy did a few kicks and swings of his sword?

C'mon guys, Naruto held his own against Level 2 Sasuke, i know that fighting Sasuke meant a lot to Naruto, but SHEESH, how could he lose so easily? It's like he couldn't be assed or something! Naruto is a top class fighter, but a lot of the time i dont like his attitude, He'd be able to bag Saukra in a second if he didn't act so immature. (No, i prefer Naruto Yaoi ♥ to Het, I'd much rather see Naruo Get With Gaara xD!)

I think I'm done, sorry for this rant, it was mostly to see if anyone else wasn't watching the filler but i lost control XD! =P Happens alot!

OH!

I'm planning on Doing a Level 2 Sasuke Cosplay for this May's London Expo and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas at all for his wings? Paper mache? But then i thought i'd be costly? I'd love any help. Any help at all. Thanks a lot people! ^___^

Um, because Sazanami was talented too? I know Naruto is the hero and all, but they are still kids (at this time 12/13) and it's only proper that sometimes, the adults actually beat the (none genius) kids because with their experience, the adult characters probably do know a few tricks.

I haven't been watching the fillers for the same reasons, but I do miss seeing Naruto butt, and I really want to see the episode where Naruto's eyes go all sparkly. *__*

I watched...one filler. >_> And I don't really plan on watching any more of them. Then again, I don't watch Naruto regularly, in the first place.

Maybe it's just because they're fillers, so Naruto still has to do some lame-ass "struggling" to prove himself to the lil' kiddies. Really, the rest of us know better. Especially us who have been dling the show and know the manga etc etc. Feeling down about Naruto's sudden "lack of skills" is justified I think. It's not real life.

I watched a couple just for the heck of it, but I really don't watch the fillers.

I have no idea what to make the wings out of... So... Good luck with that. Heh... ^^;

YAAAAAY someone else who lives in the UK!! I'm going as Tsunade-sama for May's London Expo! :D

Sasu-chan's wings could be done in foam possibly, right? If you made a chickenwire frame and covered it with layered thin foam (can't remember the name, it's like magic foam or something, I saw an amazing Ed Elric cospaly that used magic foam for the arm and it looked great)

You should TOTALLY do DDR as Level-2 Sasuke at London Expo.
That'd rock my socks.

OH! And that dude who was all like, I BEAT YOU, didn't he get totally beated by them in the next episode? O.o

I think he has the same level he pretty much always has (expect for in his super battles, and they're different because of the high emotional stakes involved in them). Of course the fillers cannot be as consistant, since as they can't touch anything to do with the canon plot because it would interfere, there is so much stuff they can't do.

I know the manga quite well and have watched all the anime. ^^ We probably just have a different opinion.

I don't watch them either >_>; I'm just not interested in them, and they take up too much space on my computer anyways. There's a lot more interesting things to download out there anyways.

I do have to admit, the Mizuki and Iruka arc was pretty hilarious for Tony the Tiger.

Yay! Yet another UK fan!! My socks are greatly rocked!

Sometimes watching the fillers is like watching The Office; it's funny because they're embarresing themselves. :D

I haven't been watching filler... And Naruto losing to a swordsman (espescially after he owned Zabuza's guys, who frankly, were probably high sclass samurai as far as the narutoworld goes) is complete bull, unless they happen to be ninja. Ch...

Ah, angst! The cause of, and solution to, all plot problems!

Naruto does suck a bit when there's no emo-ing out about something or other and without the intense fighting. Much less fun when it's WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!

I don't like watching the fillers much. They kind of put a damper on what's supposed to be the new episodes because the writers like to add on slight spoilers to them, such as

.

yay more non-lurkdom-ness!

I hadn't been watching filler. I quit after the Mizuki arc...and that one I pretty much only stuck around for Iruka (god bless Iruka). Mizuki just...grr. Anyway, I tried watching a bit of the stuff after that, something with Lee's team and Naruto and Curry and this guy named Raiga. I struggled through that then gave up for a while. The filler arc they've got now though isn't so bad. And poor neglected Kakashi just showed up, so there's some hurrah in that.

Either way, people who aren't watching most likely aren't missing a whole lot. I usually only follow the manga once every few weeks, that way I can go crazy over several chapters at once as opposed to one a week. But that might be changing soon XD

As for the wings for Sasuke, you could try something called Wonderflex (I haven't personally tried it yet but I have some on order for accessories for my ANBU costume)

here's a link to an lj entry with some basic info on the stuff:

Wonderflex FAQ (http://www.livejournal.com/users/writerz_bloc/204425.html)

She gives the website where you can buy it from, but it's situated in Canada, and I'm not entirely sure if they'll ship to the UK, and if they do, it might get you bad on shipping @_@ But I just thought I'd suggest it anyway ^^;;

I've actually watched all the filler...and now I really can't take it anymore. It was more of a "watch-it-because-i'm-bored" thing, for me anyway.

And to tell you the truth, the bounty hunter arc is actually one of the better ones. It was...what, three episodes long? Or four? Maybe it wasn't shorter than the others, but it wasn't dragged and drawn out like the Curry of Life Arc (Ick.) and the current Norimusha Arc.

The best part of the current arc is the abundance of Kakashi-sensei. *_*

:O I hadn't thought about that....I think lmostly they've had to leave character development aside exactly because of spoiling or interfering too much with what is set to come.

I stopped watching it around the same time you did actually :/ It just started to get boring and like you said the download time isn't worth it.

I would LOVE to watch the fillers if they revolved around the actual characters in Konoha, but all they've been doing is sending them on random missions with lame new characters and ripped off stories.

You, my dear, are not alone. XD

And you know what kills me??? I was re-watching the last arc before the assrapage fillers began, and it was so powerful, I got chills, even though I've seen it before (in the show and the manga). The fight between Naruto and Sasuke had meaning, and it was translated very well to the screen. I remember when the arc concluded, I was so excited, because I figured the Kakashi Gaiden would be airing, but...

Yeah, still waiting for that. >< How long has it been now? A few months?? More?? *headdesk*

I mean, I understand why the fillers are there, and I don't want the show to get cancelled because it caught up too quickly with the manga, but...HONESTLY. It hurts watching this crap. So I don't, except when I want a good laugh.

There's always Bleach, right?? XDDDD *luffles on Bleach*

At first I didn't watch any filler. I didn't even watch what I did (which was up till right after the bug thing) until my friend kept bugging me that Neji was in it XD But even with Neji in it I just couldn't stand it :/ So yeah I haven't been watching it and have no intention of doing so.

erm...sorry to burst the bubble of Bleach-bliss, but Bleach will be going on a filler break as well... I believe it'll be after episode 64.

I could be wrong. (And I'd like to be.) But that's how it goes...x.x

Hello [livejournal.com profile] thomasvye!
Sorry to catch you like this again...

To jog your memory, I'm the organizer for the 2006 Naruto Calender Project (http://www.livejournal.com/community/chuunin/1604232.html), which you volunteered for. You signed up for June.

I'm contacting you at this last minute because I have not received a fan-art from you yet. If you already have sent me you fan-art, please try sending it again until you get a confirmation reply from me. If you can get the fan-art to me before December 31, 2006, your art will be included in the calender, and you will be credited.

It takes everyone to make the project work! Thank you for your time. ^_^

agreed, I thought it was totally stupid how they all got punched in the guts once and went down for the count.. i really did laugh at that a lot

the fillers aren't as great as the main storylines.. but I'm an addict and they do provide some amusement in the meantime.. they are kinda like "official crack" in a way...

I think it was just that they got surprised (and because Sazanami had hold of Hinata as well, who most often allows herself to believe she can't help herself in these situations because of self doubt). Naruto (and probably Hinata too) are too trusting; Naruto trusts very easily and then gets outraged and surprised when people have lied/conned him. Also when he's emotional - but not emotional enough to be sharp kyuubi focused emotional - he gets careless because he just reacts.

(Naruto was trusting of Kabuto, for example, but now timeskip Naruto is less trusting, as with Sai. He's learnt now that people are not necessarily how they seem - like Gaara, unsocialised Naruto still had social lessons to learn).

I don't think it has been too up on Naruto; their treatment of him has been pretty balanced, I have thought. And I don't really like him either, so I am pretty objective. ^^

^^ Hinata is her own worst enemy. She's clearly not lacking in power, but she doesn't believe she can use it/is up to using it, except when she's seriously inspired or guilty (a lot of the girls seem to get power from guilt - the idea that they mustn't be rescued, they mustn't be a burden on the team...)

Naruto seems to function in battle at his best when he's so outraged by something that everything in his world condenses down into a single focus. Normally, he's just too hot headed, and what happens to him is usually what happens when people rush into things; it just all goes wrong. :)

My thinking on his trusting behaviour is that so many people were bad to him for so long that anyone who was nice to him and professed a belief in his beliefs, was immediately his absolute friend. Hence he took betrayal very hard. But as we've seen with Sai, he's not quite so trusting any more. (But he still doesn't think before he acts/says something! :D)

Oh, I think it was...um...it was right at the start of the last arc...in the 240s. Maybe...245 or 246? 247 is the start of the plot proper.
