alright I'm not sure if it's spoiler so I just put a cut but it's just a question

me and sushi were wandering if kakashi or itachi still had their anbu tatoo? caus there's an episode (110 I think, the thing with kakashi's mask) were we see kakashi going it the hot spring and we don't see is anbu tatoo O.O so I was wandering if he was suppose to have it?

episode 101 is filler anyway, so they couldn't have shown Kakashi's ANBU tattoo without making some infringement on the canon storyline.

I would assume the ANBU tattoo to be temporary, as being ANBU is temporary and secretive, it seems as though ex-ANBU may even keep their ANBU past secret, like superheroes or somesuch :0

ANBU in general is so secretive we've learned next to nothing about it, even if it's drafted/mandatory or something you have to try out or volunteer for. I wonder if now that Roots are surfacing if we'll learn more.

Couldn't there be a jutsu where he can camouflage the tattoo with his skin? It wouldn't make the tattoo go away, just make others unable to see it. Maybe it's something all Anbu learn so they can do undercover work more efficiently.
