A couple of questions about the relationship between Orochimaru and Anko's relation ship and other things


Why did Orochimaru have Anko has his sobordinate?
She doesn't appear to have an advanced bloodline or be extra "strong" in anyway, so it makes me wounder why Orochimaru decided to train her.
Since he is so caught up in strong ninjas with a whole buch of techniques.

OR, it could be that he didnt choose her, but that she was given to him as part of a 3 person team.

If that is the case, then what happened to the other 2 members.
In the recent fillers, Anko looks fairly young still, and there is no sign of the others around.

Do we know her age, has it been said in the manga or in one of the data books?

Did Orochimaru have a 3 person team, gave them all a cursed seal and Anko was the only one that survived?

I seem to remember Anko's picture with Oro, and she was the only one. I think Oro only took one tutolage every year.

hmmm... I had always assumed that the latter was the case but I have been more recently thinking its rather plot holey just because of the apparent ages of Anko and Orochimaru. lets just plot it out
if Orochimaru is (before time jump) 50 or so, and Anko is 24 (thats her age according to leafninja.com)
then Orochimaru would have been 26 when she was born. so then if we say Anko looks somewhere between 10 and 13 when she was with him that would put him at 36-39. he would have to have aged pretty darn well, or she is way younger than she seems to be...

... but then again Orochimaru's looks don't seems to change ever...
the sandaime dosn't even seem supprised that he looked exactly the same as he ever did when he showed up at the chuunin exam...

but then again the genin team, only survivor theory would fit in with the fairly extreme reaction she had when she heard that Orochimaru had marked Sasuke...

Orochimaru doesn't discriminate with gender.

I briefly recall a picture of Orochimaru with a little Anko and two other kids. As a jounin it was very likely he had a team. Also it seems he was kicked out of Konoha after the kyuubi attack. From Anko's words and reaction during the chuunin exam, it's safe to guess her two teammates did receive the cursed seal and did not survive it.

I think you might mean the pic of Jiraiya with his team and Yondaime as one of his team-kids. the two other kids with him were so ...um...pointlessly memorable? ^^
