Feb. 19th, 2006 12:17 amHere are some pics relating to the post I make a couple of days ago with Anko and Oro.
Oro with Anko

Jiraiya with his 3 students, including the 4th

Someone said, that when Oro and anko were in the forest during the chuunin exam, it was implied that the other team members died from the cursed seal.
Does anyone know the exact chapter in the manga when that happened, or at least around abouts?
On a slightly different tangent, I think anko is a pretty good ninja, and what I expected of a jounin.
I expect a jounin to have a decent varity of techniques, be fast, intelligent and wise.
Anko has all of these qualities, so does Kakashi, who is one of my favourite characters. He always knows what to do in a situation and always nows backgournd info about opponents, countries, techniques and history.
My first impression was that certain techniques were learned at the different "ranks" (ie chuunin, jounin etc...) I got that impression when they talk about the dispel technique being a "chuunin level technique".
so when a ninja is in the acadamy/genin, they learn some basic techniques which are genin level, like;
*henge no jutsu
*bushin no jutsu
*kawami (sp) the replacement technique
and other things things like charka control
*tree climbing
*water walking
When they become a chuunin they learn some new chuunin level basic techinques.
*dispell
And I dont know any other "chuunin level" techniques.
When they become a jounin the learn some new jounin level basic techinques.
*kagé bushin no jutsu (now forbidden)
*Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu ( i remember kakashi saying in the bell test that this technique was a jounin level technique)
cant think of anymore.
On top of all these basics, the ninjas would also have their special techniques, like summoning techniques and family techniques.
Point Im trying to make is that I thought there would be some basic techiques structure, differnt ones taught at diffenent ranks.
Im kinda disapointed because it isnt living up to the expectation I built up in my head.

Date: 2006-02-18 07:57 pm (UTC)I had forgotten that Kage Bunshin is now a forbidden technique...does it ever state why it's forbidden?

Date: 2006-02-18 11:46 pm (UTC)So if you are at 100% of you level, you use kage bushin to make one clone, you would be a 50% of your level, because the clone gets half so that the charka is equally distrubuted.
Thats my understanding, its just too dangerous.
that technique is in the scroll of forbidden techniques, they are only forbidden cause the 4th made them so.
Could we conclude that they were not forbidden before the 4ths time as hokage?

Date: 2006-02-18 11:51 pm (UTC)But they may have gone one on one after a little while.
tsunde = shizune
oro = kabuto
jiraiya = 4th
now since these are all "grown up" they have decided to take on new apprentice each
tsunde = sakura
oro = sasuke
jiraiya = naruto

Date: 2006-02-22 06:46 am (UTC)well maybe not apprentices, but how many ninjas are there following him?
could you count Zaku or Kimimaro as apprentices?
what abomut the other bodies oro has taken, did he train any of those in a team?
