Hiii! My first Naruto fic!
Mar. 6th, 2006 12:22 amTitle: Dunno. :D
Fandom: Naruto
Pairings: Some implied, but none, really.
Rating: R for the bloody.
Warnings: Very bloody, and as filled with spoilers as you can imagine.
Genre: Horror
Synopsis: How I think Naruto should end.
Sasuke smiles, a dark sneer that all who were there that day would remember. His hair gently brushes over his shoulders, his head is leaned back and tilted in a taunt. His pink tongue darts out...runs over paper white lips. He looks as if he has not seen the sun in the three years he has been gone, the blood red of the mangekyou sharingan and tar black of his hair making him look similar to his new master.
And, speak of the devil...he was watching from far behind his protege. Orochimaru didn't dare interfere with this battle, oh no, this would seal the deal he had with his little pawn. His new body would come soon...and what a beautiful body it was. Now was simply a wonderful time to see it in action.
Akatsuki had been destroyed, much to the malevolent snake's pleasure. But as expected, it couldn't stand up to the power of the rogue Uchiha and a nine-tailed demon fox, plus many Konoha jounin and chuunin. There was only one final thing left to complete, one last battle.
Clear blue eyes stare straight ahead. Determined. He made a promise. A promise to bring Sasuke back. It was time to keep that promise. A pink-haired girl screams...begs. No. There's no going back, now.
Sasuke gazes into Naruto's eyes. Back and forth, back and forth. Naruto stares back, steadfast. A broad grin slowly appears on his face. How is it possible, that even in this situation, he can smile? How can he stay himself?
Tsunade leans on Jiraiya, her infinite healing jutsu finally causing the effects of the many battles in which she should have been wounded. But it didn't matter. She had studied. Had prepared herself for this. Jiraiya, wounded himself, holds onto Tsunade tightly, grimly staring at the scene before him. There would be no help for the kid, this time.
Naruto looks at his hand, Sasuke's low-toned voice vibrating his entire body. It shatters, his hand, and the smile is wiped from his face as the finger-pieces cascade to the floor. Did Sasuke know how long he'd been waiting to hear that voice again? Why was Sasuke trying so hard to hurt him? Arm-pieces, now. Why didn't Sasuke understand that he DID have family? That he had a home, with him, and Sakura, and Kakashi-sensei? Oh. Of course.
Naruto clenches his fist, and the illusion shatters. He looks back into the twin sharingan. The smile comes back. The answer was clear. Naturally, he would have to BEAT sense into Sasuke.
The fight is long...and Naruto is losing. He slumps to the floor, his eyes glazing over. Sasuke steps cruelly on his chest, whispers in his ear.
"You have lost. Give up." There are cries from all sides. Retreat, retreat!
Naruto reaches to grab Sasuke's ankle, but the raven-haired boy jumps before Naruto can touch him. Naruto stands, slowly.
One tail. Two. Three.
Four.
His skin goes red. Blood drips and leaks from every single pore on his flesh. He is being burned alive, and the pain makes him roar.
Sakura begs. She pleads. Tsunade prepares. The surviving shinobi can only look on at the manifesting history.
Five.
Somehow, a part of him remains. He looks back at his friends, no, his family, his entire existence. Gaara, his fellow jinchuuriki, somehow regained consciousness, looking at him with sad eyes. Kankurou and Temari seem so surprised...they do not think they have ever seen a look so pained from their youngest brother.
Six.
His peers from the academy, all beaten and bruised, but alive. Shikamaru, taking a short break from barking orders, nods at him. Chouji is...knocked out. He will be okay. Ino, being healed by Shizune. Shino, trying to figure out how much of his kikaichu are left. Hinata, clinging to Neji, who looks on with nothing but the utmost respect. Kiba, sitting on top of Akamaru, Tenten trying to hold up Lee, who is giving him the nice guy pose. They would never forget.
Seven.
Kakashi-sensei. Sakura. Don't hurt. Please don't hurt. Sometimes, you have to give up your dreams to do what's right.
Eight.
Sasuke.
The eight-tailed kyuubi charges forth. No. Naruto is charging forth. His mind refuses to disappear until his promise is kept.
There is only one hit.
Sasuke's eyes go black, as Naruto leans over him, chunks of hot blood and gory flesh making thick, wet sounds as they land on Sasuke, making him the living proof of the legend.
His mouth moves.
Are you hurt, crybaby?
If you ever want to defeat me, get stronger.
Naruto...
Nine.
Something much larger slumps to the already blood-poisoned ground. It seems to be a large slab of burning meat. And it is. Sasuke is spasming in shock, the blood dripping down his forehead, over his cheeks and into his clothes.
A head. A face. Six precisely placed scratches. A few small wisps of blonde hair.
Jiraiya closes his eyes. Tsunade rushes out.
There is roaring, heated breath, and the smell of blood, and rotting corpses.
And then it all ends.
Jiraiya takes off after the remaining Sannin, along with any shinobi still strong enough to stand on his or her own. It won't be long. Soon there will only be one.
Tsunade stands before Sasuke, holding something very bright in her hands.
"You will take his burden," she says. And Sasuke feels an extreme pain, and becomes a part of the tale.

A seemingly bored Konoha ninja stands in the back of a large crowd at the coronation ceremony of the Shichidaime Hokage. The seventh. The sixth is giving a speech about...blah blah blah, the shinobi isn't really paying attention. He is pretty tall, with broad shoulders, and six curious scars on his face, that stretch out a bit as he yawns.
The newly-appointed seventh looks at him, smiles, and gives a discreet little wave. The dark-haired ninja blushes, but waves back. Girls could be so annoying, sometimes. And sheesh, what kind of girl kept the same crush for over ten years?
Only a really stupid one, Sasuke was sure.
Sakura takes the stand, and gives her speech. She makes sure to mention the sacrifices of the past shinobi, which gets many cheers from the crowd.
Sasuke listens to her speech, then takes an early leave.

Later that night, Jiraiya and Kakashi are standing in front of the stone with the names of the fallen shinobi.
Kakashi looks over at Jiraiya. "Did you love her?" he asks.
Jiraiya chuckles. "She almost killed me. How can you not love a woman like that?"
Kakashi laughs. "You better give me first dibs on your new book."
"You'll have to wait patiently like everyone else."
Kakashi whines a bit, but is excited. The Tales of a Blonde Boy would definitely make the best-seller list.

Date: 2006-03-06 03:14 pm (UTC)I've imagined the series ending in many different ways, something akin to this being one of them. Nicely done!
