A sort of halfway reminder to anyone in London, or near enough to find going there feasible ... gatty and myself (mostly her) are organising a little get-together so that a bunch of us can whine about the fact that Naruto basically doesn't exist in England, because misery loves company loser about, meet new folks and not feel like completely lonery morons for fangirling noisily in public places. Or, as Gatty put it, "go, DUDE YOU LIKE NARUTO, hey SO DO YOU. MAN THIS IS SOME CRAZY SHIT".

We're meeting on Tuesday 30th May at one o'clock outside Forbidden Planet. If you don't know how to get to Forbidden Planet, that's okay – you can either try to find a map to it and get hopelessly lost (you will get hopelessly lost, trust me), or find gatty inside Tottenham Court Road tube station between 12:45 and 1:15. Look for the tall lass with some kind of Naruto-conspicuous sign taped to her, or possibly one that says 'HI I'M GATTY' if my sign-making skills get lazy. She'll take the people who gather there to Forbidden Planet.

On that note, make yourself in some way conspicuous. Tying any item of merchandise you have to you works, or you could make yourself a little sign that indicates beyond reasonable doubt what you're there for, and then surreptitiously take it out of your bag and hold it up hopefully when you see what looks like a clump of Narutards. If you want to cosplay, be our guest; you'll most likely be in the minority, but you'll be hella noticeable so that's all good.

We'll probably mill round Forbidden Planet a bit and then probably go 'round some other places if anyone's got anything to recommend, and then go and get lunch (or get lunch first if anyone's really hungry). And hang out companionably until so many people have gone home that the only people left feel like losers. It's probably a good idea to bring some money so you can, you know, get food. And buy tat.
