Oookaaayyy... I was just wondering...

What sort of music do you think the Naruto characters would be into in real life? I was having this discussion with my friends, and we could only see Sasuke as an emo-lover (thing Hawethron Heights) and Gaara being into heavy/death metal.
If this is pointless, please just delete it!

No way, Naruto would be a j-pop tard all the way. Naruto would be a geek into anime anyway. I bet he'd cosplay and everything.

Sakura would like pop (definitely romance songs that she could sing along to while thinking about Sasuke) and I think Ino's a techno-ish girl (Cascada style) but that's just me.

Sasuke's hard. He doesn't seem to like much of anything IMO. I'd almost peg him for classical, just because his family's so traditional (I bet he'd hear it around the house growing up) but who knows.

Kiba would love rock hands down. Or metal. Possibly both. Anything loud and obnoxious.

I see Hinata going for the soft stuff, Postal Service and such.

Neji = silence. Music would only irk him.

We all know Shikamaru likes rap. :3

I don't personally think Sasuke would be emo, not so to the makeup point at least. I see him as an average, high class dresser with major emo problems but not with chains and.. hot stuff..

Oh hell, I'd love to see him emo.

On another note, wouldn't you just see Ino as one of the Gangsta ho's? T_T I feel bad for her and her pretty skankyness.

Yup, I do agree, plus the fast and upbeat style of the song would so suit him. Especially on the roots of the music. And Naruto is so like that, growing up from a shabby background and sort of rebellious, or anti-everything. I bet he listens to Badbrains or The Exploited while singing it aloud while doing flip flop wearing his trademark fox squint. That would be sooo Naruto (come on, punk is fun. XD)

But.. hip-hop? o.O

And I will disagree on Naruto liking j-pop. Chouji might even prefer it more than Naruto. IMO, He would just watch those girls just to peep on them. He is a mischievous kid and his prankster nature would not stop him on making fun of cosplayers rather than joining them. He would prefer playing PS and hating the controllers rather than being an Otaku or an Akihabei.

Judging from his personality, I think Sasuke would get attracted to Screamo, since he's angsty most of the time. Its going to be like this. He'll be introduced to emo but will gravitate towards screamo later on. Or even move to metalcore. Or garage. Or pyschedelic rock. It would suit his mood. Hah! Hawthrone Heights LOL. But I think its a possibility. And in the fandoms, he is usually associated with goth. But I'm not entirely against it. Who knows, he might like Rasputina or Sisters of Mercy.

And (I'm sorry if some may be offended) I think Simple Plan is too cheap.

Ino-yes, cool girl, spunky. Techno would be her first bet. DJ Tiestos and Ayumi Hamazaki trance hits yo!

Shika-anything lazy hmmm.... AH! I know, Ambient and Easy Listening. He would love that. Bossa Nova and co. Pluggin on the earphones and listening to calm music while watching clouds on his post would be heaven for him.

Jiraiya I bet this jiji would be the biggest fan of Morning Musume EVER but seriously speaking, i think he will appreciate a classical japanese score with a bottle of sake (and women??)

Neji-I think this boy would appreciate those nature sounds so his music will be close to Shikamaru. Ambient. But the more earthy ones. Then classical music (Tchaikovsky? dam what the spelling of this?). I can see him listening to that.

Kakashi-now, here's a difficult one. I dont think he'll be a music lover at all. (and jazzy does not even suits him) IMO, he prefers reading above music.

i think i may be at fault there because i've never been fond of hip-hop myself, and i dont usually listen to radios(w/c is usually the source of mainstream) well, i dont know if i ever heard underground hip-hop because i dont know how to differentiate it from mainstream, to be honest.

but yes, most people's perception of hip-hop is mostly through the mainstream.

Gaara I can easily see liking classical. Night on Bald Mountain always makes me think of him nobrowslol.

Sasuke... I think he'd be more into things like Nine Inch Nails and Deftones and such. He's really wangsty, but I don't think he'd go for emo. He's more... screamo type. I have a hard time imagining him sitting around sobbing to Dashboard Confessional.

I think Gai might like Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Nnena Freelon, The Temptations... maybe Bobby Darin. I don't know WHY, but... there you have it.
