This pairing is so canon, it hurts. Yamato has the biggest crush (or the "pedo-hots" as nayami so eloquently put it) on Sakura. XD Where is the "evidence" of this? Let us shuffle through it all.

Yamato likes to be near Sakura. He declared himself as her partner on a few occasions-- first during that meaningless training session, then he declared that Sakura should stay with him because she's the precious medical ninja, and then they were together when going into Emo Farm Orochimaru's place.

Yamato likes to save Sakura. First, when Sai got on his magic birdy and let her fall a few stories, he didn't try to stop Kyuubi!Naruto until Sakura got scratched, and then he got all heroic and jumped in front of Sasuke's speshul sword.

Yep. Canon. He wants her.

You guys know I'm joking, right? But this has become my favorite crack pairing... much stuff should be written for it! XD

I so agree. Plus, they're selectively useless! I mean, it's obvious that they both kick ass, but at scenes where Naruto and Sai and Sasuke are supposed to be in the spotlight, they're quickly turned useless!

Oar-sum. I love Yamato, there's so much potential for bad 'LOL, WOOD' jokes, and he has genetically-engineered!angst. And Sakura is like...on his teamandstuff. He better not fsckin' die, even though he looks like he will because Sasuke stuck his speshul snakey sword through him. But then Sakura will ANGST over his body, and realise how much she cares after knowing him for a week. And it'll be like ZabuHaku. Yes.

You know, the same evidence can be used for Kakashi and Sakura. It's always the jounin's that's paired with Sakura because the jounin has the capability of protecting her. Naruto/Sasuke/Sai? They're big boys, they can go get hurt and take care of themselves.

That being said, I am a Kakashi/Sakura fan, so I'm biased >_>

I like it. Kakashi/Sakura makes me squirm because of the (former or no) teaching situation, but Yamoto/Sakura is on an 'equal' level - or at least they're both ninjas, and he is dealing with the team as soldiers not students.

And it's better than Kakashi/Sakura, because Kakashi belongs with Iruka. And it's hilarious, because there's more canon interaction than Kakashi/Iruka. XD
