Muma VII: Put On Your Red Shoes and Flee

She went to bed and slept for a few hours, then woke and went at it again, tapping and tugging on her tenketsu as if they were stubborn children. Tiny fires sprouted under her skin but her gates remained firmly closed, without even the tiniest chink to encourage her.

In the morning, her hands were covered with red spots.

Feeling sick, she went to the bathroom and lifted her robes; in the dim light, the blotches on her thighs and stomach were hard to make out clearly but quite obviously there. She dropped her skirts and felt all over her face; to her relief, the tender soreness that came with the spots was nowhere to be found. Hinata looked down at her hands again and counted, one, two, ten, thirty: the folds of the kimono would conceal her body but her hands wouldn't be so easily hidden. The dwarf would notice as soon as he came with her lunch, notice and tell Kabuto, who would examine her and realize--

"I-I guess...I'll just h-have to think of s-something," she said and wished, not for the first time, that she was Shikamaru.


Hinata tries to escape.

I was looking through the comments on the OTP survey (crediting illeatchu here~) and I noticed a comment by hieronymousb that said, "The interaction I love between Naruto and Gaara, in my head, is rather gen, so I feel a little disingenuous calling that a "pairing" I love. But I'm still quite fond of their . . . shall we say, dynamic. XD;"

I myself feel the same way about the dynamics between certain characters. While I'm not really a fan of romantic pairings, I love genshipping and want to make a similar survey of my own.

SO, chuunin, WHAT ARE YOUR TOP THREE FAVOURITE GENSHIPS? You can also use your OTP for this as well, as long as you still like the pairing without the sex! I know that many people like more than just the sexual aspects of their OTP, or maybe you have another favourite if we're talking strictly gen. It works both ways, really.

How to cast your vote:

1. Leave a comment with your NUMBER ONE genship as the subject.
2. In the comment body, be sure to say what is your second and third favourite genship if you have any. You don't have to do this, but...one is kind of limiting in a series like Naruto that has so many interesting character interactions. So I'm adding this since most people will have runner ups, I think.
3. PLEASE limit your selections to the dynamics between two characters. For example: Naruto/Sasuke is allowed, whereas Naruto/Sasuke/Sakura is not.

I'll tally the results and post them in a few days as well! First place gets three points, second place gets two points, third place gets one point.
