Violence in Naruto: Japanese to Viz version

I have to do an essay on violence on comic books, generally manga, and my teacher would prefer it if I used more than one manga to use as reference. (I used MPD Physco as a first ref)

Now I have my laughs when I pick up Naruto and see that they've edited the page by adding towels, removing penis jokes etc, yet I don't have many volumes of the manga for a couple of personal reasons.

Would anyone tell me if there has been some editing in violence (like blood) when Naruto is handed to Viz to offically translate into english?

Or generally Japanese to Viz cuts.

I really need to get a full mark in the essay!

Supposedly, there's a (part 1) filler episode in which Shikamaru decideds to run off all emo-like. And then has father-son bonding moments.

I have to know what episode this is. Would any of you care to point me in the right direction?
