So I came back from CNAnime last night and decided to share the many, many pics I took of the cosplayers and a bit of my Naruto-related merchandise. ^_^

ALSO, Yuri Lowenthal and Kate Higgens (Sasuke and Sakura's English VA's, respectively) were there and I managed to get three small vids of them during the Q&A session. ^o^

Gaara and Temari. Made my day. ♥ And seriously, that was the most IC Gaara I've ever seen. She didn't talk or smile the entire 2-3 hours we sat near her. XD But I eventually went over to them and showed them the sandsib art print I bought. The Temari fangirled and the Gaara took it and stared at it for a full 15 seconds in silence before giving it back. Oh, yes, I was amused.

Yes, there she is, sitting a few feet from us and being very IC. Temari went MIA for nearly an hour and I wanted to go over and give poor Gaara some company. But she was IC and thus scary. So I stayed put and snuck a blurry picture. XD

XD The poor Deidara fell over the instant I took the picture, hence the ninja-like bluriness.

If you can't make it out...the Itachi in the front is stabbing Kakashi with an umbrella. XDDD I lovingly dubbed him Blind Itachi, because he was wearing dark, opaque sunglasses the entire con and I mistook his umbrella for a walking stick. XD

My Naruto-related merchandise! (I didn't buy much of anything, this year. XD)


I literally gasped when I saw this. ♥__♥ The guy who drew it was very nice and signed it for me and it's totally going into a frame. ♥ (This is the print I showed the IC Gaara and Temari cosplayers, btw. XD)

BWAHAHA. *victory dance* I found it!

We were waiting in the masquerade line and I happened to glance up at the fire exit sign. A moment later, I said: "This might just be because I'm at an anime convention...but it looks like the guy in the sign is running from tentacle rape, not fire."

We lawled. Badly. And now that needs to be made into an icon.

LASTLY, I attended the Q&A Session with Yuri Lowenthal (Sasuke's English VA) and Kate Higgens (Sakura's English VA) and managed to get three short videos. ^o^

Fan Phone Call - Someone in the audience gave her friend a phonecall and told Yuri the friend was a big fan. He proceeded to talk to her and then gave the phone to Kate, who took on the role of Sakura. XD

Script:
Kate: What?
Kate: But do you think we'd make a good couple or not?
Kate: Okay thanks, I really appreciate that. But I don't need anybody making matters worse for me, so...
Kate: You can have a crush on him but keep it from afar. Stay in Oregon, okay? It was really nice talking to you. CHA!
Yuri: So...we're gonna do that but I'm glad that you called. *laughing* Okay, I love you, too.

Little Sasuke - Another person asked Yuri whether he'd be doing pre-traumatized Sasuke's voice, for when he's around 8 years old, and Yuri said he wasn't sure but gave us a little example of what it'd sound like. SO CUTE.

Script:
Yuri: It'll be something like this.
Yuri: Naruto, you loser.
Yuri: They obviously got their own plans, but we'll see.
Kate: They won't bring in a little kid.
Yuri: No, but they'll probably bring in a girl.
Kate: And it'll probably be me.

Fanfiction - A fan asks Yuri about his opinion on fanfiction. XD

Script:
Yuri: I think fanfiction's awesome. Back in the day, nobody really--primarily because the internet isn't as widely used as it is today, but there was no outlet for people to explore the world beyond what we were seeing in the episodes, and to see the stories that you wished, you know, were gonna happen.
Yuri: Most of the fanfiction I get involve...uh...Sasuke and Sakura getting together, or Sasuke and Naruto getting together.
Fan: Or Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto getting together.
Yuri: I never got that one yet, but I'm sure--
Fan: I found one.
Yuri: You found one.
Yuri: If I were out there searching I'm sure I'd find one, too.
Yuri: I think fanfiction's great. Um...you're gonna have to--we'll have to send Kate some links.
Kate: Yeah, send me some links, I've never gotten any.
Yuri: Most of them are surprising. Like I'll get a link from a fan saying: "I don't know how you're gonna take this, but this is some fanfiction that's really dirty" or whatever.
Yuri: And I'll read it...and maybe it's just me, but it's not really that dirty. It's actually kind of tame.
Kate: That's just you, Yuri.
Yuri: But I think fanfiction's awesome. I love that the fans have taken into their own hands writing stories they wanna hear anyways.
Fan: And do you like the fanart, too?
Yuri: Do I like what?
Fan: Fanart?
Yuri: Fanart, yeah. Lot's of people send me fanart. I love fanart.
Fan: That's all. Thank you.
Yuri: You're welcome.

EDIT: Okay, have decided. I'm cosplaying Sir Leader for Anime North 2007 and assembling a complete Akatsuki group. It BEGS a skit in the masquerade. BEGS IT.

The photoshoot makes me cry as to how unorganized the one at Anime North was this year. It brings back SO many memories... Even ones from AN 05. The cracktasticness of it all. I wasn't willing enough to spend the money AND cross the border again (I have Youmacon in 2 months ><)... It looks like you guys all had fun!

Sure no problem. I've spoken to the artist and she said she's worked with this colorist before. I can understand the autograph and fact he said he colored it, but I'm kind of weirded out he said he drew it as well. :/
