I could care less if the entire movie is crap. I would watch it just for that damn song (which is OMG catchy), and the image of Sasuke stripping his shirt off. *drools like the shameless fangirl she is*

But I actually hope that there is some interesting plot afoot. They better have a good explanation for the guns, that Kishimoto has already specified defeat the point of having a manga about ninja that don't use them.

This looks way stupid to me. But good lulz that we have to read a hundred billion chapters of the manga to even catch Naru and Sasu in the same frame, while here they are suddenly fighting side by side.

I guess if I look at it as a fan fic and get rid of the pathetic hope that it will have anything to do with canon, I can be happy.

And shirtless Sasuke, meh. Give me shirtless Naruto and Shikamaru! Or maybe they can rip each other's shirts off?

Does anybody else think that it looks like Naruto and Sasuke will probably only meet at the veeeery end of the movie when Sasuke steps up to (possibly?) help Konoha(or when Naruto randomly runs across him)? ;.; And that the rest will be a focus on Konoha’s plight with that annoying new Mary-sue and the flying ninjas and only little teasing snippets of Sasuke stripping down brooding in his emo!cave?

Although, the flying ninjas weirded me out. Woah. the new character (thankfully) succeeded in shouting the sentence that nobody even tried to tell Naruto: "What's the use of talking about someone who's not here?!" Right on!

I agree. Actually, I've been planning to count how many times did Naruto said Sasuke's name starting @ shippuuden episode one... LOL...

i guess the average is a 100 times per episode (LOL it makes me remember my prof who likes to say "'kay" in every last sentence she utters, mind you, just for pure amusement we did tally it and she said "'kay" 80 times within her one hour lecture! ^____^)

Thats what I was thinking. Like "no plot, no plot, mary sueeeeeeeeee explosion. OMGOSH NARUTO YOU MUST TRAVEL TO ANOTHER DIMENSION WHERE FLYING NINJAS ORIGINATE AND P'WN THE BOSS! And omg! Is that Sasuke being the little emo timbit he is?"

And then it'll have 20 minutes of:

Then they'll fight for 10 minutes, Sasuke'll disappear while naruto's unconcious and end of movie :)

Gahh! So many people bashing this! Whatever! It's something completely new in naruto! Unlike the other movie plots * which pretty much seemed like shitty fillers to me* this actually seems like a MOVIE. It almost reminds me of WWII or something yeah know?

I think it will blow the other movies out of the water! And just like everyone else I was so glad to see sasuke (shirtlessssssssssssssssssssss) but I sort of screamed when they first showed him all depressed in the cave.DklfDKLJf CAN'T WAIT!

Same here. Though, with one of my canons, you don't have to imagine a whole lot. It's not yaoi, but, oh boy, is there subtext. And canon, unrequited gay. At one point, a major supporting character (hereafter abbreviated "MSC") and his arranged fiancée's boyfriend are talking about why the MSC doesn't love his fiancée. The topic of his best friend comes up, for plot-related reasons. He mentions how MSC's fiancée had "always been jealous" of how close they are. He denies the obvious implications for about a line, but then is prompted to go on a sort of tangent about how marriage shouldn't matter as long as you love the person and blah blah blah.

The best part is, best friend has no clue except for noting that MSC acts like a "girlfriend [or] mother" towards him sometimes.
