Summary: It is, after all, just another ordinary day, and all is well. Or: Itachi, before the massacre.
Notes: A belated b-day ficlet for the lovelyhelike. ♥ Prompts were Itachi & sun. I'm afraid I didn't get much sun, though. XD Ninja OCs flit in and out of the picture, as well as Shisui, Mikoto, and Sasuke. Title comes from T.S. Eliot's "The Hollow Men." No real spoilers for recent manga developments. Naruto belongs to Masashi Kishimoto, as we all know. ;)
Depending on the wielder's skill, a kunai can easily be used as a means for slicing apples, as opposed to slicing throats.
