OMG...Pein's are more badass than previously thought (sucking souls from bodies...definitely badass).

And WTF is going on with Kumogakure?? I swear there is something in the air in that village... But Killer Bee still owns my heart at the moment. His character is just so..."unique." Yes, his Enka singing shall CHANGE THE WORLD. ♥

(And of course White Zetsu laughing at the fact that they were duped is fabulous. ♥ )

Pain. Rocking. Hard. And I'm curious. If Animal Realm [who replaced the previous Animal Realm, we can assume] primarily uses summons, does that mean he passes powers between bodies? Does each of the Six Realms come with an ability that is imprinted on a body? Or does he find them with similar movesets, with perhaps some small alterations? And wtf, missile arm. Just had to get that out there.

(Erm. I overlooked your entry and embarrassed myself by making a new one, that I deleted just in time... Maybe it is my new layout that I have not yet got used to, but an entry title like "New Chapter" would have been useful... --- but thanks anyway for giving us the link and making this entry!)

Loved the chapter! No Sasuke, and no Naruto, and it was just great. Sometimes all the emotions get tiring, and a decent fight as the one we will now get with Pein versus Konoha will be great. I liked that scenes where the different bodies of Pein tell what different realms they are masters off.

I wonder about that ninja not knowing about the nine-tails...

Samui, Omoi and Karui are back, and they are just awesome. Love it how they all care for Killerbee, including the Hokage. What a contrast to the original treatment of Naruto or Gaara!

And then Killerbee's escape. Sasuke did not bring the complete demon back home, having dissected one of the tentacles in order to save Karin, and Killerbee uses this dissected tentacle to return to his human form.

I have been worrying a lot about Evil!Sasuke these last weeks, and to be sure, I am not yet confident altogether, as again it was rather luck that he is not responsible for the death of Killerbee - he really intended to bring him to Madara so that the Hachibi would be extracted - but it is not only luck, but his caring for Karin that turned out well and brought its reward. (As in a fairy-tale.)

(I must admit that I have not yet understood this completely. Did Sasuke bring only the dissected limb that had taken the form of Killerbee? Or did he bring the rest?)

I also love the relationship between Killerbee and the Hachibi. They seem to have a lot of fun together. And Killerbee deserting from his village just because he wants a break - what a wonderful reason. And all this while the Raikage and several platoons are looking for him and trying to save him. Not very nice - he should be able to make friends with Sasuke once they meet again in a more peaceful way.

I wonder who Sabu is and who the Enka are. Hopefully a bunch of ninjas who have quit the mercenary soldiers business and have instead engaged in the musics industry. But I hope that he will send a letter to his brother once he has got his first contract, so that his brother won't worry about him...

Not brilliant but good. Like a fairy-tale hero he is rewarded for a deed of intuitive compassion, as saving Karin, and the reward is that he is not responsible for the jinchuuriki's death. (Though the wrath of Madara will cause some inconvenience. On the other hand: How should Sasuke have known?)

Somehow I got the impression that Zetsu and Kisama are not too unhappy about Sasuke's failure.

I too doubt that Sasuke planned this. I think it is his reward for not letting Karin behind. Just as some fairy-tale heroes who are on their way to some princess who gives three impossible tasks to the men who want to save her. On the way there are three animals - bees, ducks, ants, fish or whatever - and the hero stops to help them, while his brothers thought them insignificant and rushed ahead to be in time for the princess.

But the brothers fail at the impossible tasks and get killed, while the hero is aided by the animals - for example, the ant calls her fellow ants, and in one night they carry away a mountain.

Thus Sasuke has stopped to save Karin, and now he is lucky that he is not responsible for Killerbee's death.

I rather wonder whether Killerbee planned that Sasuke would dissect the tentacle when he attacked Karin.

Konan in the background while Pain does his thing pushes me closer towards the belief that she might have some control over him. Hmm. Having a female be the mastermind all along would be one hell of a twist for Kishi. I would love him even more than I already do if that happens.

I love this chapter so much and I don't even know why. The random Hyuuga was brilliant. At first I wondered if it was Hiashi, but then I remembered that he doesn't wear the chuunin/jounin vests...and he's hella old looking.

Killerbee's family is hilarious. The tears had me laughing for five minutes straight. The Hachibi telling Bee that his rapping sucked was awesome. I really love Kumogakure--even if they are the reason Hizashi died. =/

I was really hoping for a reaction from Madara about the tentacles, but he only gave us ".....", which is curious. I wonder if he thinks Sasuke did it on purpose. Speaking of He-Who-Must-Not -Be-Named, I really want to see Team Taka. I want to know what the hell they are up to. If Sasuke didn't know about Bee's escape, I wonder if he'll be like "meh, not my problem", genuinely care and go looking for him, or go "well...damn" and still continue on his way to Konoha.

I think this chapter is the best indication Naruto's training is done. I can't imagine the village being basicly destroyed while he is off in the mountains.

But I think given the part 2 averages, we are now overdue for someone to die because of Killerbee's survival. So it seems pretty likely someone is going down soon.

Well, of the bijuu we've seen, most of the jinchūriki seem to have...at least not actively hostile relationships with their bijuu. Gaara kinda did with Shuukaku, but after shippuuden he seems to either have 1) better control or 2) better relationship. (Of course now that Shuukaku's extracted that's a moot point now. XP) And it's already been shown that Naruto talks with the Kyuubi, and Naruto doesn't seem to purposely hate the Kyuubi...

Though I don't know if Kishimoto's going to actually go this way after the whole "do it by your own strength" theme he's got going on now.

Nobody has ever tried to be friendly to him... Also, it seemed to me that when Naruto was still trying to get along with him, e.g. in the first training arc with Jiraya in volume 10, when he learnt his summoning jutsu, his relationship to the kyuubi was not too bad. Only when the old people intervened, as Jiraya who told him not to use "that" jutsu, or Yamato who tells him not to use the kyuubi at all, things get difficult. I think that this is a point where he will have to emancipate from his teachers.

Maybe he can learn from Killerbee.

You know what, I was feeling low and depressed today but when I read chap.419... Killerbee made my day! ^___^ When I saw him alive & well, I felt light-hearted all of a sudden! XD I'm not kidding!
