THE CRACK ANONYMEME.

WHAT IS CRACK? From Wikipedia (because Wikipedia is Always Right): "Crack fic [is] named after the drug to imply that it can only be the product of a deranged mind, crack fic is identified by its random, nonsensical contents. The plotline might be twisted into a knot, the fic might be a thick parody, or the fic might feature an unlikely or rare pairing ("crack pairing").
Crack can be funny. Crack can be horrifying. Crack can be sexy. It can break the fourth wall. It can be AU. It can be canon, even (lol zombies)! It can be mpreg, genderswap, rare!pairs, canon-pairs-with-odd-parameters. Basically, it's anything that makes people go, "lol wtf?"
This does not mean your fic can't be serious. Fandom has tackled innumerable bizarre concepts, and presented them thoughtfully and workably, despite the fact that the initial idea seemed completely batshit. So if you typically write non-humor fics, don't feel confined to emphasizing the ridiculousness of crack!
