Latest episode is up, and wow, it's just kinda dramatic.  I thought it was pretty good because of the extended fight sequences that portray Pain as a god and Naruto as a force of nature.  In the manga, for all the buildup to Pain vs. Naruto, there wasn't much actual fighting to show off Pain's skills.  Not so here, so yay for that.  

I'll tell you ahead of time, though, you're gonna have a chuckle when you look at some of Pain's facial expressions.

I don't know why, but with the fight being on water and Naruto using his Kyuubi chakra, it made me thought of the Sasuke VS Naruto fight at the Valley of the End.

...Just more powerful and all that.
Though it was INCREDIBLY BETTER than the last episode. 166 kinda sucked to be honest.

This episode was incerdibly well done, I was surprised :O Especially the end, it showed the intensity, and the music choice was fantastic.
Good job, animators, maybe except the gummi faces...

I thought this ep was stunning. The animators managed to capture the sheer power of both characters in the fight - funny facial expressions aside- it was perfect for me. Right down to the somewhat creepy sequence where Naruto goes to pull off the seal. All done far better than I had hoped for. o/

They might have sacrificed the characters looking on model sometimes but tbh if every ep was like this one, I'd be bouncing for each new episode to come out.

I think the most epic part was the last 5 minutes... Naruto floating in that sea of water and the calm, almost hopeless music playing in the background, leading up to Minato tackling Naruto into the water fjds YEAH. PEIN?? I was busy leering at the 4th.
