Hello, everyone, from Alabama.
I graduated from Auburn and it was a big surprise when I heard that this Naruto Cafe had opened after I moved away. Needless to say, the first chance I got to go back to Auburn, I made my friends take me there.

... It's decent food (No ramen, guys, sorry), but it's not great food. A typical American-Japanese restaurant with some Korean. And, as far as I can tell, they can get away with the Naruto on the cover because his headband has been altered. Instead of a Konoha symbol, it's just an embossed "N".

If you happen to be in Auburn, Alabama WAR EAGLE, please, feel free to try it (although Village Wok across the street a ways is much better). Just don't be expecting a fan-themed restaurant. The two Narutos on the outside is the only thing anime-related to the entire building.

Thank you for the review! And pictures, woo. It looks nice inside, even if it's only the outside that's themed. I'm surprised they can get away with using Naruto by just changing his headband, I've seen fanart that had to alter details a lot more than that in order to be sold. Though maybe they were just being careful?

Either way, it's hilarious that they don't sell ramen. They must get annoyed from being asked that constantly from fans. xD

I'm sorry, but changing the headband is NOT enough of a change to avoid copyright infringement. The owners might THINK it is, but the outfits are identical, the colors are identical, the only change is the headband symbol and nobody driving by is going to notice that (and probably most of the people who come in don't spot that unless someone points it out.) In fact, I'm thinking that I may have seen that picture somewhere before as a piece of official art.

I doubt it, since the closeups shown in a link further down the comments thread shows a closeup, and they changed Naruto's headband, presumably in an attempt to avoid copyright infringement charges. (Sorry, I'm not thinking that's going to work.)
