While I'm no longer new to this fandom I'm still searching for the great fanfiction that I might've overlooked in my fic-reading quest. I love reading. Gen, het, yaoi, yuri, whatever ;)

If you like Minato/Kushina, Got a Boy in the War (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4111562/1/got-a-boy-in-the-war) by lisse is one of my favorite fics EVER. It was written before the canon reveal about Kushina being a jinchuuriki, so it's pretty amazing at how accurate the fic turned out to be.

Prerequisite (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3757050/1/Prerequisite) is a hilarious Team 7 gen fic where Kakashi has to tell his team about the birds and the bees. It is HYSTERICAL. I love it.

Fish Heads (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3547643/1/Fish-Heads) by Lotos Eater has got to be one of my favorite fics. It's a sand sibling gen fic that focuses on Temari's relationship with her brothers and how they cope with Gaara's kidnapping. It's just SO well-characterized, funny and poignant at the same time! Definitely one of my favs :)

Follow the Rabbit (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4901539/1/Follow-the-Rabbit) by Nymbis is an interesting Zabuza & Haku gen fic that examines how Haku was trained, and how Zabuza was trying to shape his powers.

bellonablack's Darkness afoot (http://bellonablack.livejournal.com/176739.html?view=830051#t830051) is a powerful introspective Gaara gen fic that examines his psyche and his relationship with his bijou. It's a comment fic, but wow, it's just amazing. (She never posted it formally anywhere, which makes me sad. Sigh)

Finally, nthcoincident's Convergence (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6122496/1/Convergence) is this AMAZING Hashirama/Madara fic that spans the decades of their life. It's beautiful and lyrical and absolutely heartbreaking. Even if you don't like the pairing, the writing is amazing and I recommend it to everyone!

Ooh, thanks for the recs! I've already read Prerequisite ,and it was great :) Rest of them are new to me. There are so many fics in Naruto fandom, it's great ;A;

Yesss, SilverShine! I just re-read House of Crows, so I wanted to add that (if someone hadn't already).

HoC is Kakashi/Sakura, but Girl from Whirlpool is almost gen-fic. It's very well done. It reads like a prequel.

Ooh, I've read Its For A Good Cause I Swear about a month ago, and I really loved it :) I love fics where characters are mildly insane and beautifully careless :D The Virus is great too.

I've never heard of Connecting thew Dots- I don't really like crossovers. But since you're reccing it, and there are so many reviews ,I'll check it out later :)

As for my favourites... Actually I don't really have favourites D: I'm afraid I'm quantity over quality reader. When I'm new to the fandom I just readreadread, till there's nothing that interesting out there anymore (at least not in plain sight). Then I search for and re-read the fics I particularly liked. And I still haven't reached that stage in my Naruto fic reading.
