Crack Theories: The Sharingan

chuunin_archiveI have just come up with a weird theory about the Mangekyou Sharingan.
It's strange how Itachi left Sasuke alive after killing the whole clan. The only clues that we got as to why he did it was very vague and not at all helpful.
However, before he left, he told Sasuke this: "...come before me once you have the same eyes as me..." He also states that he was Sasuke to obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan so that he could test his capacity. But then, Itachi doesn't same to be a character that would randomly do things on a whim. If the analyses are correct, Itachi was a member of the Akatsuki before he decimated the Uchiha clan.
He also says that if Sasuke were to obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan, the total number of users would be three.
In the tsukiyomi, you can see a moon. That moon is red. *cue dramatic gasps*
Ring any bells?
Akatsuki means " red moon ".
My paranoid nature can't help but think that its not a coincidence. Perhaps the three Mangekyou Sharingan users can unlock the secrets plans of the Akatsuki?
