It could indeed be a clan or even a magical bloodline like Uchiha; we have no idea where Kidou came from - his family lineage could have been native to this country, or his spidery people a group who had either been captured by Orochi's forces (like Genyuumaru's family) or chosen to join him.

Whatever, Kidou was leet; this guy didn't have six arms! And he was rather ugly, whereas Kidou was so cute! *snuggles him*

The guy with the sword, now facially the first person he reminded me of was Lee. ^^ Yes, he wasn't handsome like Lee, but he had very bushy brows and no eyelashes to speak of. ^^

9) That enemy's sword looked a LOT like Zabuza's...
Yes, I thought that too. I think he's the least inept of the three, but he's not really in Zabuza or Kisame's league. ^^ Well, I don't think so anyway!

Yah, Orochimaru's current vessel is (was) named Genyuumaru, and his hair is actually green. There's a painting of him on the back of the jacket of the 2nd databook. ^^
