Stupid question like I don't have enough stupidity :

How is Lee walking on water? I thought he couldn't control his chakra, besides from using the gates I mean. To walk on water don't you need to control your chakra down to your feet with use a 'hand seal' like you would a ninjutsu or something?

And if someone has already asked this question then please tell me to delete this, thank you.

Maybe he's wearing taru ikada? They're little pots that ninja used, that they slipped on their feet to cross shallow water? I dunno, I'm not looking at a picture. In my head, I'd always assumed that they carried around a lot of extra "prehistoric" ninja tools for Lee, because he can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu... some of the stuff like these, ie, shuko and ashiko for climbing.

I don't know, with both times(now and when Kisame puked up his own ocean) when Lee is on water, I DO believe it was very deep.

And as for the 'prehistoric' ninja tools, Kishimoto doesn't seem to be a huge fan of them all, considering that there are alot of those primative gagits, eh? ^_\\

I remember when they did the tree climbing/water walking training Kakashi/Ebesu (sp?) said all you have to do is be able to focus chakara to a certain part of your body to obtain the desired affect without using hand seals. Lee can't use chakra to perform illusions, but I think he can focus it into his hands and legs to make his punches and kicks stronger (Sauske comments on this when they first meet). If he can focus it for one thing he should be able to focus it for another.

I know he can't go genjutsu and stuff, but maybe the reason he can't do that isn't because he can't control his chakra. I've actually never even heard he couldn't control it. If this is the case, then he obviously can control it and therefore can walk on water... And he's the decendent of Jesus! Or Johnny Damon. One of them. :p

Could be Lee's learned a way to compensate in the last few years. Could be that walking on water or clinging to trees fall in some sort of grey area where Lee can get to. We'll have to see if it's explained, I suppose.

I don't think his chakra control was ever mentioned, just that he can't do ninjutsu or genjutsu. I don't think the reason why he can't was every mentioned either. There's more to ninjutsu/genjutsu than chakra control, and chakra is for more than ninjutsu/genjutsu seeing as Naruto has poor control yet can do some powerful ninjutsu.

There has to be some chakra manipulation involved with taijutsu or at least the more advanced moves. The Lotus involves removing the body's chakra limitations. But why would Lee be gathering up all that chakra for if can't do any ninjutsu or genjutsu? Tsunade's super strength owes a lot to her superior chakra control and being able to concentrate it wherever necessary. I think hard physical training is still important, so the body can withstand the impact from throwing hard blows and be able endure long, physical fights.
