Age Limits question-o!

Yo! First time posting, long time lurker XD

Anyhoo, I dunno how this question came into mind but as I rewatch the VERY first episode of Naruto, I stop and look at the opening song, where Team 7 fights a whole band of random ninjas and I was lookin' at Kakashi...(like who doesn't look at him ^^;)

And I was wondering, is there a certain age you have to be to become a teacher? For classrooms,out in the fields, what not.


Sorry for that stupid question but it'd come in handy when I write my Naruto fan fiction! :D

Yeah, because if I remember correctly, when it comes to the 2 and a half years later, after Sasuke went to good ol' Orochimaru(in the manga) Naruto sees Temari and Shika together and Shika says he's a examiner for the chuuin exams...or somethin' and he's at least 14-15. O__O

Age has nothing to do with it - it's all about skill and power.

Although, I'm sure, if you have two jounin lined for one position, the elder will get it.

I'm under the impression that Naruto's generation is kind of lacking. Kakashi's generation reached genin rank at 9, and chuunin at 10-12. Which makes Naruto and the others look like idiots.

Kakashi's generation was also a time of war...where people may have been promoted a lot quicker because of the need for high level ninjas.

True, true. But I wouldn't think they would sacrifice shinobi quality for numbers.

Naruto's time is turning into a time of war, too... otherwise, they wouldn't have sent four genin and a "newbie" chuunin (and a dog) on a mission to capture a boy who could possibly provide an evil bastard with a hip (and pretty) new body. Heh. I suppose time will tell.

I would think you'd have to be an adult so that the students respect you. I can't see a fifteen year old accepting a fourteen year old as their teacher. They would need their students respect if they were going to teach them at all.

Poor Iruka. He's the most harassed guy in the whole village. Being an elementary school teacher is hard enough. Being an elementary school teacher for a whole bunch of ADHD kids who WANT TO BE NINJAS RIGHT NOW!!

But yeah. If the four other guys on the Super Team didn't already know Shika, there probably would've been more authority issues due to age.

Yeah Shikamaru had some trouble controlling Naruto and he does know him.
I feel so sorry for Iruka. He deserves a cookie!
