Ne, who here either has seen the anime for or read the manga on Flame of Recca by Nobuyuki Anzai (also the author of R (Rocket) Princess and the more recent MAR, Marchen Awakens Romance)? I am a big fan myself and was wonder if any of you other ninja people have heard of it. Shout back if you have!

I've watched the anime for FoR . . . struck by all the things ripped off by Naruto. But then, probably FoR borrowed from other predecessors, too . . . *laughs*

I guess. The Samurai theme is so part of Japanese culture that it's bound to be repeated over and over again. XDDD I wonder if Samurai Deeper Kyo is any good?

Yes! I love Recca! I absolutely love the manga but, though I have all the anime on CD, I haven't watched past episode 10 yet ^_^;

I really like Mikigram Mikigami too, but I also like Recca and.. well, there's not many characters in that series that I don't like >.>

I know I'll see them eventually because the friend who introduced me to the series is now collecting the liscenced versions and making me watch them. I know the tournament is really awesome in the manga!

aah, i've read flame of recca. . .i've only read up to volume 28 though ._. my favorite character is that old guy (forgot his name n_n) who made all the weapons that everyone uses XD~ he's so perverted :3

I've seen all the anime. It was a LOT more like YYH than Naruto. I thought it was ok.

I think there's a Hokage clan which is where recca comes from and there's also genin,chuunin and jounin if my memory serves me correctly. There's Kurenai too. I think there's more but I forgot since it's been so long since I read the series.

I cried reading the end of FoR manga.

She was ok, at the very end, though. So that made me happy.

I'm not as big a fan of the anime, though. The ending was sucky.

But, at least they ended it and didn't do filler hell.

The Hokage in FoR is completely different from the Hokage in Naruto, though.

Also, I agree, Joker is awesome. I also like Koganei, Ouka, Raiha, and Neon.

Yeah, i've read all of FoR and seen half of the anime *raises hands*. I have no fav charcaters.

There are a lot of other ninja/samurai related manga out there, like Ninku, Basilisk and etc.

Its just a series I thought pthers may have heard of since its mainly a ninja manga/anime. It was just out of curiosity really, though I know it doesn't really belong here in this community...
