I don't know if someone already posted this, if it was already posted I'm sorry, but anyways steven blum, best known prolly for spike from cowboy bebop is gonna be the voice of kakashi according to animenewsnetwork
what does everyone think? will he do kakashi justice?

Totally unrelated, but I just read the last few words as "Will he do Kakashi juice?" and almost killed myself.

I think that might work if he can use his voice to make it a bit deeper than Spike's was.

there are elements of the spike voice that would work. but there are some that really dont fit as well. He could pull it off. Even thought this might sound weard. Spike sounds a tad too lade back for kakashi. hard to picture now that i think about it but thats what i think. I cant place my finger on the exact parts that need to be changed but hopefully someone working on voice derecting is as fanatic as some of us.

omfg thank you! I hate crispin freeman so much, what he did to tsume from wolfs rain is unforgivable as well as many other characters he butchered but I digress. I'm sure he'll appear somewhere in the naruto dub too -_- and as for the spike guy, yea he uses the same voice for every character he does

I'm kinda happy that he's going to get the role of Kakashi because I really couldn't see anyone in the Ocean Cast having the right voice. He'll have to lower it a bit though. For some reason, before being cast as Kakashi, I thought he would be good as Shikamaru- watch FLCL where he voices one of Naota's friends.

To me, his voice is too smooth guy serious... And although Kakashi is Mr. Smooth, his voice always struck me as polite and unassuming Japanese guy...and occaisionally it would drop to smooth guy serious voice. And the laughing!

Don't get me wrong, I adore Steven Blum, but UGH. If I even attempt to think about an english adaptation to Naruto, I get this horrible urgh to headdesk. I'm one of those weird people that when I start watching a series in one language, I have to finish it in that language. I can't imagine English equivalents for Japanese voices.

But I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

But in all honesty, just keep giving me the raws and I'll be one happy camper. (No one can replace Inoue Kazuhiko!!! *drools over his Kakashi voice*) XD
