Why do people still comment anonymously? Livejournal doesn't use codes anymore. Anyone can make an account if they want to. If you've got something to say, make sure you have the guts to own up to it.
Like a previous commenter said, there is nothing stopping anyone from getting any livejournal account that they like, and I'd be greatly surprised if more than a tiny minority of you care about the reputation of their livejournal names. This step may be effective, but it's only going to deter problems with the laziest of trolls.

I wouldn't mind except for the fact that I cannot log into LJ during work hours (which takes up 10 hours of every week day for me), so this means I'd have to wait till I got home to comment to anything. =_=
You know, there are other reasons that people comment anonymously that are fairly legitimate and not all about bashing people while hiding. =___=
You can still comment, they will just be screened. It will be up to the post's poster to unscreen them.
Why can't you log in at work, if you have access to a computer? You don't have to log in to comment, you know, you can just put in your username and password as you comment...
some work places has programs that the boss can go through they know everything every keystroke every website etc. SO signing in with a password gives the monitor private info. And it's totally legal!
I have such a program on all my computers so see who goes on my comps and whatnot
