Is it just me or is Akatsuki Organization ALOT like a modern day army cause we got Deidara using C1-c4 bombing clay in todays armys. um Sasori's left arm alot like a Frag grenade.

But I ask since the naruto anime seems to have like everything tv's (with princess girl starring in a Icha Icha movie LOL) why not have guns?! to throw into the mix. as a alternetive for non-chakra combat cause it takes energy to chuck throwing stars etc. when if a ninja had guns's he'd never worry about wasteing precious strength on throwing stuff just aim and shoot more chakra for kickass jutsu's like Oiroke no Jutsu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!

Ninja's are too fast for guns! Plus they would make a lot more noise then throwing kunai and shuriken, which you are also able to hook up with a load of funkay wires to fire all over the place! Not so sure if you could do that with guns, they would make a big BANG noise and kinda ruin the 'stealth NINJA' thing~ Ninja need chakra for cool techniques, but if they un out of chakra, or they're trying to conserve it, throwing stars and stuff is easy. Plus, guns just don't scream 'Ninja' like ninja throwing stars do~!

Kishimoto sensei has specifically stated that he will not use guns in Naruto because to him, that's not what ninjas are about.

his naruto bullets (kage bushins flying everywhere) + itachi's (Bunshin Bakuha - Shadow Clone Explosion) would be great war tactic

...Yeah. Strange. Hmm.
People in Naruto world are smart enough to make explosion notes, shoot human missiles, dispatch self-destructing clones, and even harness demons, but they havn't ever thought of more "our world" weapons. It seems to me that they rely a lot on human resources (like ninjas and chakra, which can't be machine-produced). Maybe, because their culture was founded on human resources and developed from there, their world is just too different from ours. (Though that doesn't explain how they have radios and such.)

Here's a way to see it -- Take the sharingan for example. Sharingan can give you the key to copying anyone's movements. We do something similar to this by recording stuff, and then analyzing it later to copy your opponent's attacks, or coming up with a counter-attack. But sharingan is faster, is more precise, and it can even predict an opponent's moves -- just all-around superior. (Most of all, it cannot be reproduced it a factory, which makes Uchihas very, very special.) So other ninjas would make better use of their time by developing their own special skills, rather than trying to imitate the sharingan mechanically. So genetic mutation, also called limited bloodline, like the sharingan (which doesn't exist in our world) would put society back to relying even more on human resources, and suppress development of stuff like guns.

Here's another way to look at it -- No China, no gunpowder, no guns. Ta-da.

Because with the clay and such it's different. They have to learn to make it explode correctly, or to build the weaponry. It still ends up having been worked for. Guns would open up more chakra, true, but they're on a lower level. In Naruto the people have to work on their personal strength more. Besides, if you're relying on that gun, and then you end up fighting, say, a Hyuuga, who will be able to see the bullet, dodge and be done with it, then maybe kill you by the time you realized that wouldn't work.

With a gun you need ammo, and the gun itself. Shuriken and Kunai only nead themselves. If someone knocks the gun out of your hand, and it breaks when it hits the grounf, your ammo is useless. With the projectiles you just pull out another one. You can reuse Shuriken and Kunai, but not bullets.

Guns are, in the scheme of things in that world: Unfair. Ninja's fight. Guns aren't a fight, they have nothing to do with the jutsus. Yes they might save strength, but so what? Remember, the majority, and main characters are minors. You want them to go around shooting people? Or if you don't want them to have them, just the adults, then look at that disadvantage.

Naruto is a fantasy manga. The attacks used in it are more fantastic then guns could ever be. Note if you would also, the fact that it's /villains/ that have the mass-destructive weapons for the most part. The good guys use personal strength/skills. Guns would be unneccesary and unneeded. Do you really want to see Orochimaru or the like taken down by a single bullet? Or any fight ended by one? It would be a major dissapointment.

Yes I understand your logic, but this is really just a matter of appropriateness. The ninjas of Naruto don't /need/ guns. They're fine the way they are.

I'll shut up now, since I've rambled on for way to long and 50 people have probably commented on this already, but I have my point made in any case. But in case I didn't: The Flintstones have tvs and everything too, are you going to give them guns next?
