what a difference a year makes

chuunin_archiveokay, so i was avoiding school work and decided to document the genin growth spurts of the last year. Many pictures behind the cut, so slow computers beware. I also apologize for the hugeness of some of the picutres. Now, without further "Apu"...
I'll start with my favorite screen capture of the genin. aw, aren't they precious in their infamous rookie group, putting all those older shinobi to shame.
My favorite part of the first picture is the drunk shinobi in the background. but check out how tiny Naruto was then, and now he's practically as big as Iruka.
again, Naruto's so little Iruka has to bend over to talk to him, and now they're practically eye-level.
now, either Hiashi's really short, or Neji shot up at 14 years of age
alright, really poor animation in the first one. but still look how massively older Kiba looks now. He's broader, sturdier, more refined, damn that boy's gonna be fine after the time-jump. Even Shino looks older to me, granted I can't see much of him, he just exudes majurity.
just another team 8 shot, cause i love them so. They should be holding hands in the second picture, showing how much closer they got over the year.

Evil vs. Friendly neighborhood Sand Squad. how quaint. ps, check out the clevage on Temari, pretty sure that wasn't there before...
And somehow, only Temari and Gaara had the sense to change their wardrobes as they grew. Fascinating.

Odd now i notice the change in animation. The old ones look so less refined, some'r just plain crappy *notes temari's lionesque hair* everyone was so much more... fluzzy

i don't think most people notice the change considering the long wait between episodes and chapters they always seemed the same.
unless you watch the episodes back to back or go back and watch on of the older episodes then a new one you probably wouldn't notice.
