No indeed. The only thing Iruka did was humanize and redeem the boy who holds the Kyuubi. Who in turn humanized the boy who holds Shukaku. Which made them people, rather than just 'weapons'.

And right about now, I think Sand is wishing they'd thought of that a long, long time ago.

But nooooo, Iruka didn't do anything at all because he doesn't have spiffy-rad-way-cool JUTSU. *heavy sigh*
