Some new rumors have been going around the net in regards to casting of the Naruto dub. So I thought I'd post what is known about this to keep chickens-with-their-heads-cut-off syndrome from starting up here.

This weekend at Comic Con Internation in San Diego a clip from the Naruto dub was shown. A few people who were at the show have posted comments on what they saw. One person claims that Naruto is being played by Beianne Siddall (who played Jim in Outlaw Star under the name Ian Hawk). Meanwhile, the folks at http://leafninja.com have an attendee who claims Wendee Lee (who's been in more stuff that I can count) is voicing Naruto.


This strongly seems to contradict the Shounen Jump interview where Naruto was said to be voiced by an unknown. Both actresses have fairly good reputions in the industry and could in no way be considered unknowns.


At this point I personally am going to take the word of the Shounen Jump interview. It's entirelly possible the folks who attended the panel where the preview was shown simply made a mistake. There has been no word of being a part of the Naruto dub on the offical site of either actress.

Though Brianne Siddall will at the Northern Anime Con in Oshawa, Ontario Canada this weekend. So if we don't hear anything by then if anyone here is planning to attend that con please try and get some info on this either way. Also, if anyone here actually was at Comic Con or knows someone who was please see if you can provide some clarification.

I hope this post clears up any confusion anyone might have on this issue.

Fake info has gotten on that site before, I've seen it myself. Besides, those listings were taken down from ANN the day after they went up.

Nevermind that most of those actors don't work in LA where Naruto is being dubbed.

Brianne Sidall = <3 I would be pretty shocked, because this one lady (who played Naruto on a fandub) soudns exactly like Sidall and I liked it o-o;
