I'm pretty sure Sasori made the iron filings into a huge block and tried to crush Sakura with it, but she was able to doge with Chiyo-baa's help. Then, she punched it and sent it flying at Sasori.

I'm more of confused as what did Sasori done with his parents? It seems as if to me that he did not mean to turn them into puppets on purpose...but it's kinda like...with a pat on the back an dthey are puppets?
