Does anyone think this sort of reminds you of Space Mountain in Disneyland? Like, it's all dark except for the orangey glowing and you don't know what the hell to expect next except your stomach is probably going to rebel...

^^ My interpretation of Tsubaki's appearance is that she loves her crazy man and she *is* going to save him from himself, whether he likes it or not. If this involves dragging his sorry ass back to Konoha on a stretcher, so be it. XD

I am really glad people have been impressed by this storyline; it's very good and it shows once more - ninja training screws people up. *nod*

And yes; Iruka is a natural uke. He's not even trying. ^o^

I was impressed they bothered to examine the body; are these med nin though, or CSI Konoha? *thinks; Gil Grissom with Byakugan....* No wonder the ninja prisons are so full....:P

*nods* It's really interesting contrasting this with the episode right at the beginning, where Kakashi et al discuss friends vs mission, and how you can't just keep your emotions and morality out of things, no matter what you are told... (and with the Kakashi Gaiden later...)

That episode was SCREAMING corny though. Everything done with Shika, Chouji, and Ino was half-assed, especially the dialog between them. I was screaming "You're such a good father!" whenever Shikamaru was speaking. Not to mention, they probably decided on Shika's team because they're lazy and didn't feel like spending the time to draw out a good fight. I'd of much rather seen Shino and Hinata kicking their asses, to make up for the lack of them lately. But no, a fight of that quality requires a hit/impact type thing instead of massive hugging.

^^ If Mizuki had the Curse Seal (Orochi's Dark Mark, only more so as it's actually worth something and not like a fanclub pin), then he would seriously be able to kick ass. His tat is cute though. ^^

I wonder how long he's had it...We couldn't see his arms before as his shirt was long sleeved; it might be one of those things he did when he was a pissed teeneager. ^^ It was in his metalhead phase, before he went mad and Tsubaki got into electropop...

I can't get the episodes now, so I really enjoy these things. ^_^ The implications with Iruka are too funny. XD

I was hoping they'd let Ino do something, though. I realize the episode isn't about Shikamaru and his team, but I always have some hope that one of the girls will do something nifty and not screw it up. I suppose her scary, Chouji, fangirling was kind of badass, though.

Buff!Mizuki continues to amuse me. Stereotypical ONE TRU LUFF has some competition in Iruka, though... O_o

Was it just me who thought some parts of this episode were just terribly animated? I'm talking mainly about how half the time Shikamaru's eyebrows look like he got a hold of Gaara's eyeliner and went a little crazy. Aah filler.

This episode was obviously fodder for the Ino/Shika/Cho OT3, as there was a little ino/cho, shika/cho and shika/ino (did anybody else see Ino's hand in Shika's crotch when she fell onto him? no?) At least Ino got to use her new jutsu (although canonnically we don't even know if she knows it yet...).

And cute widdle Iruka continues on his mission to usurp Sasuke's position as "Konoha's #1 Uke" while he's away. They seem to be abusing kunai!space like woah in these though. Does Mizuki even HAVE pockets?

much fun, ino fangirling over chouji amuses me to no end. originally i was a ShikaIno fan, but have grown to both acknowledge and accept ShikaTem as practically canon (i don't mind, i rather like temari) and have picked up the hints on the possibility of InoChou. granted, some of it's just sprung from the fact that they're on the same team, but hey, looks like teammates make the best love interests (is a shameless KibaHina fangirl).

so huzzah InoChou! I'm rootin for you! Plus, Chubby needs some lovin too...

and yes, everything about Iruka's demeanor just screams Uke. poor guy'll never get to be on top.

and while i love the ino/shika/chou, i am feeling very deprived of some awesome team 8 action. It would be so over the top and badass if both team 8 and team gai came to save team 10 from the brothers.
