I'll be missing the americanised Naruto..But I'm spending time in Taiwan at the moment and they have chinese dubbed Naruto here (I have no idea what part of the series theyre on, as yesterday it was at about episode 119 and this morning it was back to the Chuunin Preliminaries o.O)

God, I can't get over the fact that chinese dubbed Gai sounds like he's had one too many drinks/sounds like a total goof, which is muchos amusing but at the same time so totally doesn't suit him. They got Naruto, Shikamaru and Kakashi spot on though, Chouji sounds odd too o_O

They semi changed the title of the show..instead of Naruto's name it translates to something like "fiery ninja" o_O

The chinese dub. God, I almost died laughing watching. Gai's voice amuses me muchly XD

It's actually supposed to translate into "hokage ninja", cause "hokage" translated into chinese is "火影" ^_^

At first I didn't know why they named the show that way too, until I heard someone call the hokage "火影" in the show. Then everything just clicked =D

火 = fire ="Ho"
影 = shadow = "Kage"

That's what I figured out anyway.

Lol. When I was in Hong Kong in July (didn't watch much TV), I catched Naruto in a shop. But it was japanese with chinese sub. I was gunna guess that the chinese was gunna be funny though haha. They always do something funky. My brother told me the chinese title was (can't write chinese on this mac - For Yun Jer) which I thought was going to be Fire Ninja. I loled.

I was going to buy the DVDs for my dad to watch... but I realised I wouldn't be able to take in all the different voices. They always use chinese voice actor Vegeta's voice for everyone, I swear.

Well let's see the stats:
Friends within walking distance: Don't like anime.
Friends at school: All live far away.
Frinds online: All live in different states/countries.

So the only type of get together I'll be having is trying to get my little brother to let me watch something for an hour straight. Those Village symbol cupcakes sound like a good idea though, if only he ate them so I could use them as a bribe... And I can't even do some sort of 'Watch while IMing with a person who's watching' Because TVs don't cooperate with internet-accessible comps.

The Plan: Maybe decorate cupcakes to eat, most likely drink pepsi, watch in a room alone, yell loudly at the show, and probably laugh loudly at it as well. Slapping of forehead will likely occur as well.

Definately will watch with friends and play a drinking game: 1 shot when someone's name is mispronounced, 2 shots when attack name is changed, 3 shots - when something is edited. I think I'll be out by the half of the episode 1!!!
