the person who voices naruto is erm... well hurts my head and like the jutsu is pronounced like as if someone can imagine "italics" around it. like they put priority over the more asain wording then anything else

I'm excited. I was a bit disappointed when I heard Naruto's voice, though. I guess I'm just so used to the Japanese voices. It will be interesting to see what my friends who have never seen Naruto think.

Whoa. Naruto = I can get used to. Iruka? Whoa whoa! I...guess it might be okay..but I'm used to the Japanese, so he sounds so...soft-spoken? I don't know how to describe it. And what the heck is with their pronounciation of Naruto? I'd rather they they just went with a "roo" sound then the weird attempted roll of the r. Sounds too weird.

But I really like that they seem to be keeping names, so I won't complain...yet. And I'm actually gonna watch it again, because although it's gone now, I'm pretty sure I felt highly agitated while watching it.

My first reaction was one of disgust (which I expected)...but I have to say, the voices surpisingly sound alright. Naruto's is a little, um, girly? But they aren't as bad as some of the other terrible anime dubs I've seen (I watched 10 minutes of Yugioh for the first time this weekend and I SWEAR I was in hell). It's going to take ALOT of getting used to, but I think I'll eventually get to like it. And if not, there's always my good old fansubs to fall back on hehe

Now I just have to force my nephews to watch it muhahahahahaha

Wow, that was a LOT better than I was afraid of. Naruto doesn't sound too obnoxious... of course there's still plenty of time for a full episode to prove me wrong on that count. XP

Okay...I have to admit that when I first heard it I burst out laughing because it was just so damn funny. BUT we must remember these ARE the first episodes and the actors themselves are still getting into their roles. Iruka was very overacted and very humorous...and it'll take me awhile to get used to Naruto...

But they left Iruka's blood in and they are keeping the names so far. I can deal with the voice acting as I'm sure it will strengthen with time. So...in the end..I think the dub is looking okay...

On another note, I might be the only one who is strangely amused at how girly "Mizooki" sounds. "give me the scroll naruto. if you don't i will cry~~! waaah~~! love me fangurls~ for i am so pretty" (sorry Mizuki fans)

Hummmm, well personally I didn't think it was that bad, I'm happy they're keeping names and original BGM :3 Yeah the voices do sound a little weird but I guess it's because we're all just used to the Japanese ones, the dub ones may grown on people eventually ^^

I'm personally looking forward to the dub, so I'm really really hoping we get it shown on TV over here in England =p

Well I didn't expect the voices to be good, but they're a lot better than I predicted. One thing I did notice that in the background they had some of the original soundtrack playing, but whats up with the over pronouncing of the name naruto though. All in all I'll probably continue to watch the fansubs and maybe catch the dub every now and then like I do with FMA.

I won't say that the "Naruto" thing won't take a little getting used to but I think it's otherwise doable. It sounds like some of the VAs need to get a little more adjusted to their roles and then it could flow better. It's a bit stilted for the moment. Naruto's voice is much better than I first imagined from the voice clips I heard. All in all, I'm not going to take up my pitchfork and storm the Viz studios.
