i'm not bashing... just joking. can't anyone on the internet take a joke? why is everyone so keen on defending the dub when we all have subs? or atleast most of us do...
honestly thought... i'm just not a fan of dubs, esp ones on tv. I was watching One Piece the other night... and I just hate it when they throw in all of these 'american' jokes and puns... it just takes away the 'Japanese'-ness that makes me like anime. Personal preff. no biggie.

Date: 2005-09-07 04:20 pm (UTC)My biggest deal is that people are saying that it sucks before it even comes out. People just hold such UNBELIEVABLY high standards for a show they love and if those standards aren't met 100%, people freak out.
As for taking the "Japaneseness" out of anime...I actually disagree with that. A lot of the Japanese puns and jokes would make NO sense to an American. I'm kind of glad if something like that is changed.
But if you think about it, people ARE working hard to dub this show. And it's not like they're INTENTIONALLY making it "horrible".

Who REALLY wants to re-watch the entire serise from the start? And if you do... why not pop in the origonals on your own time. Sure the dub will be good for new fans... but eh.
