Ok hes the thing im not getting. The fool tazmo is begging for money now cuz of the server problem at narutofan.com yet hes got a xbox360 as a prize for donating money? Those things are like $400. PLUS theres the ipod minins hes given away for free So What was the point of narutofanplus now? Wasnt that suppose to cover some server problems or just give him money for no reason at all?

Feel free to delete this but i just am not understanding that narutofan webmaster now

From what I gather, Tazmo had to buy many new servers to uphold all of narutofan.com.

But I agree...if the website is in such a desperate need for money now, why give away such expensive prises?

Yah server cost is alot of money but then again there was this server/hosting site where u could buy like 10gbs of online space for like 20bucks per month

well bandwidth is expensive he could just down the site when ever bandwidth is down plus I think he's making the fanplus part of the site that drains the money of direct downloads eat bandwidth like crazy!

well, the amount of money that he will get from the narutofan.com fans for entering the contest will VERY much likely be more than the cost of the xbox360, seeing that there are over 10,000 people that go on narutofan.com i believe. i think.

However there's no way in hell everyone will donate; if 1,000 people did, that'd be a pretty small percentage of the total number of members.

I'm not against stoptazmo.com, I have nothing against the guy, I just download the manga because frankly, I couldn't care less of what's going on.

Anyway, when I went to download from stoptazmo, I looked on the message board and it had a poll to see if it should have a stoptazmo plus membership for all the downloads.

Either narutofan.com or stoptazmo.com, I would donate money for a better account, just like this here livejournal!...sadly, I'm badly broke. ;__;

personally i tend to stay away from tazmo's sites. I dislike being forced to sign up for an account etc. I happily donate to sites i use, but between pushes for money, chance to win scams and forced membership, he totally loses me.
i would recommend going elsewhere.

Thing is, a good deal of the other popular Naruto fansites where they host a good deal of media and news also require membership and ask for donations. There aren't very many sites left where you don't require membership to download things; this is to protect the siteowners liability against stuff or something, I guess.

Well, narutofan already had massive traffic as it was; the donations had been taken down quite a while because they were happily in the black. But, consider the huge press Naruto is now getting; narutofan has been mentioned quite a few times in regards to Naruo fansites, and it is on the first page for google; any new fans checking it out are likely gunna clog the servers. It seems perfectly reasonable to me.

As for the X-Box, consider that he might've bought it himself, but since this shindig went down, decided to use it as a prize? It's wholly possible.
