The greatest chapter spoiler ever

WOW, this place looks all spiffy now. Multiple mods too, rock on(Are you still taking applications? That's my dream job). I haven't visited LJ since that Harry Potter book came out(fear of spoiler bitches, y'know?). Anyways, this summary sounded fake at first, but there have been multiple confirmations and discussions on Japanese boards, so I'm now a believer. It will make you come.



So, uh, culled from multiple posts:

Chapter is called "Clue", bringing to mind the classic board game, and has Kakashi and Naruto on the cover. Chiyo and Sakura are both alive. Sakura wants to go back to the village and and make more antidote for Chiyo(she never took hers), but she refuses. Sasori dies(:_:), but gives some info about Orochimaru-sama first. Orochimaru is raising a student in the Sound Village who will become his new container and who will also be the next Eight-tails Jinchuuriki. Sasori also has a spy working for Orochimaru, who will be waiting for him at the Bridge Of Heaven And Earth in Hidden Grass Village. Kakashi's eye is changing into a ring shape, neither the regular Sharingan or the Mangekyou. Next chapter will reveal his new technique.

Fuck yes, Chiyo lives! She and Sakura are so sweet and kickass together. ^_^ I hope she starts training Kankuro to become an uber-badass with those ten puppets. She'll probably just give her lifeforce to revive Gaara, though. :/

Is Orochimaru-sama currently a Jinchuuriki? Is Kabuto? Oro seems believable(lots of past info supporting that theory drug up in the thread), but that would mean Itachi is stronger than a Sannin with a Bijuu inside? Kabuto is also possible, but that would mean he's basically expected to sacrifice himself alongside Sasuke to create Uber-Oro.

Hidden Grass Village! Spies! Possible Zetsu tie-in?

Kakashi's eye...there's been some speculation that it could be the same swirly-shit as Akatsuki Leader has. Deidara's time is running out.

Anyways...glad this arc is wrapping up, and looking forward to where they're heading next.

I love getting spoiled. o_o;;; I hope that they're all true, though I do think that it's a bit unbelieveable for Chiyo-baa to be still alive after giving her life force to Sakura... o_O It would be awesome if she can bring Gaara back, though. T_T

I'm still helluv confused with what's going on with Orochimaru, blah blah... I just want to see Sasuke in a pretty little Sound outfit. xD

And thank GOD that the Sasori + Sakura/Chiyo fight is OVER.

Well, if we lose Sasori it sounds positively rubbish, but I no longer believe spoilers. They have been wrong weekly for months now. Also, the tag mentioned the death of Gaara. I don't believe the shout tags are a good guide either, but there should be something about Gaara at least.

Were they? As I say, they've been constantly disappointing for ages now, so I have ceased to look at them. *nod*

This sounds a bit...I mean Sasori mentioned to Deidara right back in February that he didn't even know what Orochi looks like these days when they talked about him briefly. Akatsuki don't seem too bothered by him (Orochimaru, that is). They were like 'oh, he'll die eventually' when they were chatting about him finally getting the sharingan just before the Time jump. I don't think he's top of their priority list. So.......you know?

Sounds dodgy still to me.

Supposedly they've been right the past two weeks, from the first guy to post this one. I don't know, I stopped looking after the whole "Pants-Man" thing(which was admittedly fucking hilarious), and I'm definitely glad I didn't have last week's spoiled for me, it was quite a shock. But this week I was worried about what Sasori's fate might be, so I had to look. ^^;

I don't really believe anything for sure until I see the raw, but this one has been "confirmed" by several people, so I'm hopeful that I'll be seeing OroKabu soon. That might just be my fanboy pining, though. :/

And I think Akatsuki is definitely concerned about Orochimaru. You were quoting Deidara, who's pretty arrogant anyways, but that was the first time they had all met each other in several years, simply because he'd gotten a hold of the Sharingan...the previous incident being when Orochimaru left. He's a badass, maybe not as dangerous as the whole Akatsuki organization, but probably more dangerous than any of its individual members. He controls his own village, after all(and according to the filler, a whole nation).

And Sasori has spies all over the place, one who apparently didn't even remember that he was a spy until Sasori showed up. It doesn't mean he himself has met with Orochimaru recently, and Oro does have a "new" body.

Either way, it's interesting to discuss while we're impatiently waiting. :P Especially since I don't really care about the dub or the current anime arc. ^^;

I don't think Orochimaru is more powerful than the members of Akatsuki; he may be more powerful than some of them and less powerful than others and generally on a level with them, which is why he could keep such august company.

They didn't meet up to talk about the sharingan; that struck me as gossip. And then Deidara said words to the effect of 'he'll die eventually anyway', and then they talk about what they *really* met to talk about; the plan that would come to fruition in 3 years time (ie the story unravelling now).

At that point they seemed to have an idea of where Orochi was; if they wanted him back or dead, then Zetsu could have followed Sasuke and potentially fetched. But he didn't; he just brought the story back. Now (this year of the story) it seems they've lost track of him, but he's not a priority; the jinchuuriki are.

That's just how it strikes me.

I think the original anime arcs have been excellent fun. But then it's almost boring me to say it now as so many people just aren't prepared to take as they find.

I just reread the chapter and you're right, Zetsu just mentions it while the meeting is already taking place. I'm not saying he's more powerful, though, just more dangerous on a large scale than they would be on their own. Like, Sasori may not be as strong as Itachi or Kisame in singles combat, but he commands a small army and has a network of spies, so he seems to be more of a threat, being able to bring down a country and all. Orochimaru, through his manipulations and subordinates, was able to kill two Kages and deal a huge blow to two of the strongest shinobi villages.

He lost a lot of his soldiers before the timejump, but he still has a village, and the anime says he's in control of that entire Rice Country. That, I think, makes him more dangerous than even an awesome fighter like Kisame is on his own. Together, the nine of them(soon to be seven? :_: ) are probably a greater threat, but I think he'll remain a huge menace in the long run.

The filler stuff has had its ups and downs. It was definitely nice to see Iruka actually doing something. They just don't grip me in any way. I'll watch the episodes and enjoy them(sometimes...hated Mizuki's Bruce Banner anatomy change), but I don't feel any anticipation or need to discuss what might happen next. ^^;

Of course I'm right! ^^ This is because I am a tragic Akatsuki nerd who has been forced by evil circumstance to analyse every little chat too many times because there aren't many of them. (My sadness is publically revealed once more! D'oh!) :DDD

Of course Orochimaru is very powerful. It's all down to his being Orochimaru. ^^ He can get away with it all, because he is all that. >:)

Mizuki is lovely. ^^ His new body suits him (he can't help getting buff when all they give him to do is break rocks. He's smart with the pharmacy; get him in the library I say! :)

Hm. Sasori is my favorite villain after Kabuto, but he's gotten tons of love from Kishimoto already(more than any of the other Akatsuki members but Itachi), and it'd be kind of silly for him to have yet another trump card. He had a hell of a fight that'll look awesome animated, and he got taken down by his grandmother and one of the main characters.

Teamwork is one of the staples of the series, so it would make sense storytelling-wise for Sasori and Deidara to try and go it alone in their selfishness and get offed in 2-on-1 battles.

And, umm, this might be unpopular, but I'd rather Chiyo live than Sasori. I idolize her. *_*

Heh, no way. Death to Chiyo, I'm afraid; it's in the stars. It's been her lot from the start and we know it, for these two to kill each other in a tragic and mournful way. Even more sad than losing them though; The Zombie HulkSakura will live. Now *that's* tradgey. Kishimoto really knows how to make us weep!

(It would not be silly for Sasori to live at all; it would just be right for once. ^^)

Also, if we assume Orochimaru knows all about jinchuuriki (and since he was in Akatsuki, I think that's a fair assumption, he did have a beautiful opportunity to capture a horribly injured nine tails from under the nose of the (at that point) also horribly injured Tsunade, if he was looking for a jinchuuriki. But instead, he tried to kill Naruto good as soon as he realised who he was. So...I am just not sure Orochi is interested that much in jinchuuriki anymore. But who knows with him. ^^ It's Orochi! He could be up to anything, frankly. lol.

If he is a Jinchuuriki, then he wouldn't really need the nine-tails(or can you load two into one person? :/), and it'd be a nice way to fuck over Akatsuki. It'd also explain why he left.

Well, at the time he attacked Naruto, he certainly wouldn't have been one already, since his arms were dying and he had to body swap; as we witnessed his swap into Genyuumaru, we can say for certain that that body is not a jinchuuriki.

If he wanted one, at the point of the sannin fight, he could have taken the most powerful one with ease. But he didn't. No, I don't think Orochi is one or even necessarily overly interested in them. His most constantly expressed goal is to learn all the jutsu (Orochimaru can never be accused of being intellectually dull, or lazy! ^^). I guess jinchuuriki aren't going to help him do that. *shrug*

But then, as I say, it's Orochi. God only knows what he's really up to. ^^

Which would be suffice to explain why Orochimaru was never after Naruto. But it's pretty crafty, his plan; to BE the 8-tails in the body of Sasuke.
