Enough wanking about the dub already! It was inevitable, and whether or not it's the "best dub out there" is BESIDE the point! Get over it, it's done, MOVE ON.

Can we PLEASE bring back the purpose of this community, which is to talk about the series in general, and NOT all this pointless angsting about a recent addition to the American dub library?

And can we NOT spam peoples' friends lists with all the whinging? It's getting old.

By the way most people sound about it, I'm tempted to ask, "So. Get a cast together and do a fandub of an episode or two. PROVE TO US, please, how you are SO MUCH FUCKING BETTER than the official company - what makes them so god damned bad.

Did ANYONE here expect them to keep it clean and untouched editing-wise? NO. Japan =/= North America. We have different social laws and different media boards. So WHY is everyone so SURPRISED and SHOCKED that Sasuke and Naruto won't be seen kissing? Or other such things that may be cut in the future? Jeez.

Well, logically, dear, Spongebob and Patrick don't have a romantic interest in each other. However, you CAN note the episode where Spongebob and Patrick adopted a clam-baby, and formed a family with a slightly abusive overtone, suggesting Spongebob is the helpless housewife and Patrick the lying, lazy slob of a husband. Homosexual overtones, yes.

Regardless of what many people watching Naruto think, homosexuality is something that many parents think is "unsuitable" for TV during hours where it is widely available to young children. Naruto is expected to be the next big hit with kids, and I suspect they don't want parents banning that show - and all the lovely, lovely merchandise - from their children and not buying their products. They want to both please us, the fans (face it, they know we exist) and they want to please the market and make big bucks. Some sacrifices must be made, of course - like the kiss scene - in exchange for less homophobic letters from parents. I don't see why they didn't cut it entirely - they DO still kiss in the dub, you HEAR it, but if they showed the image, the idea that it was a mistake, it would hit home much better.

However, I think the fandom's being whiny and horrible immature about they. Sasuke and Naruto DO accidently brush lips (I wouldn't even call it a kiss) and that's that. If you don't like it, or the voices, or any of the other things that have appeared in the dub, just don't watch it. Stop being horrifically wanky, all of you.

Please excuse me, but how was I being uncivil? My opinion differs from the opinion of others, and I expressed my opinion. I do not think I was being particularly rude to any - it is my opinion that a lot of the general fandom has taken this whole "dub" ordeal too harshly, and I did not specifically name anyone, or accuse the previous poster, as to being "bad fans".
