I go with "Believe it" than "Dattebayo" Everytime I hear Dub!Naruto say Beleive it! at the end of almost every sentences. It just makes me cringe really bad also whenever he say "Believe it" it sound very high strung. I'm not bashing about the dub or this is another dub bashing topic. I wanted to see what is your statement about this poll.

After seeing the latest esp and previous ones, "Believe it!" it just too imperishable comparing to "Dattebayo"

It reminds me of the Fushigi Yuugi dub where they dubbed Chichiri's "no da" as "ya know".

It's just really strange. Datte Bayo really has no meaning to it, it's just an expression. "Believe it" Is like WTF??

i vote for believe it, but u know what? I think it's just bcos we're used to Naruto saying dattebayo for 150++ episodes that it's difficult to get used to the english dub...

I'm not going to lie. "Believe it" is more annoying but ONLY because I notice it. Like with "dattebayo", I didn't know he said it until I had been watching Naruto for over a year. It's because I don't speak Japanese so I don't pick up on those things. Even even when I did, I just sort of ignored it because I had to but READ what Naruto said.

I noticed Believe it more than I've EVER noticed dattebayo. And in Japanese it just.... fits into the sentance... yet in English we get all of these random 'Believe it!'s thrown in and it's just like ... wtf do you have a speaking problem?

I voted 'dunno?' since the only time I've heard Naruto say Believe it! was during a commercial. I never seem hear it during the show. I've even rewatched the episodes just so I can hear him say it but still don't catch it.

I say, "Believe it!" because I absolutely hate Naruto's English VA. I watched the third episode last week and that was the only voice that I couldn't stand. If not for that, I could actually watch the dub.

I Think a post up there said it best- the only reason most people don't find 'dattebayo' as annoying is because they DON'T SPEAK JAPANESE. ;) As far as Naruto's "Believe it", I think it's a good way to translate Dattebayo, and it's adorable. But I don't find either of them annoying.

Ah, I totally agree with you there. XD Most people complaining about it ARE people who just don't know Japanese.
I don't find the "believe it"'s annoying either. It seems to flow well with Naruto's personality. I actually never noticed until people started making fun of it. >.>

Eh, like everyone else, I didn't really realize the "Dattebayo" thing until the english "Believe it!" came out. And then I was all, "is that what Datebayo means???"
I dunno, "believe it!" is just more noticable I guess.
