Alrighty, I'm going to be old-fashioned and ask...Who is your favorite character? And I am letting you choose ONE for a male character and ONE for a female character.

Rules to this little thing:

Please. Just please. Do not bash someone else's favorite character like "That's a stupid reason to like them," or whatever. Try not to start any fights, mmkay?

Also, try to give a reason why you REALLY like this character. I'm afraid that I don't think that 'omg he's so hott' is a valid answer. Please, give me a reason WHY you like this/these character(s) so much.



Mine, for example:

Male - Nara Shikamaru - He isn't perfect. He's lazy, says 'troublesome' alot and though he doesn't seem like he cares, this kid has alot of ambition for when he gets older. He's a wonderful friend. ;D

Female - Temari - She can be a bitch. She can be a bitch, but also has abit of heart and shows what a real BADASS some females can be. She's basically like, 'stfun00b'. I completely ADORE her. I AM WOMAN. HEAR ME ROAR.

You don't have to lay it out like mine, but hit the basics, y'know? ^_^ ENJOY, MY SNOWFLAKES.

Male - Yamashiro Aoba - Over the years, this awesomely underrated background ninja has grown on me. I'm not even lying. He IS my favorite.

Female - Hm...can I say "none of the above" or default to Haku or something? I'm never really a fan of anime girls because they have about five stock personalities that the artists always resort to.

Hrmm... I don't think you have to worry about anyone starting fights anymore, and anyway there are tons of mods to watch for that stuff ^^;

Anyway, favorite female? I'd have to go with Tsunade. She's strong, pretty confident, etc~

Favorite male? Naruto! I love him for reasons I don't even know.

Male - Gaara - I have a soft spot for homicidal boys? At first when he came into Naruto, the first thing he did was snub Naruto which is doing no.1 wrong in my book. But he was such an interesting character, with his big stupid gourd full of sand and his thug face. He had my heart long before he beat the shit out of Lee. Somewhere during when Shukaku took him over is where I became so in anime-love with him. It was sort of like Naruto-Sakura-Sasuke versus little old crazy foaming-at-the-mouth Gaara. It makes me sad to think of his love-deprived childhood. I love him to pieces.

Female - Yamanaka Ino - My favorite female character fluxuates a bit between Temari and Ino but she had me when she helped out Sakura when the Sound gang was about to beat the shit out of her. And...she's pretty! And she's so cool!

I'll second you on Gaara. I think his sob story was the most powerful one - it's bad to be hated by everyone, but when you own parents hate your guts, that is so so so heartbreaking. Hats off for Gaara for being able to change so much. So sad that he is still going through so much shit even now in manga.

Temari would be my favourite girl, she is strong and so super hot and hell, I am sure it was tuff growing up with Gaara around.

Sasuke:

He's one of the most complex and 3-dimention characters in Manga/anime. Most of the story-line revolve around him somehow. There would be no Naruto without Sasuke.

Temari:

Male- Rock Lee. He scared me at first, I admit. But as the series went on, I grew to love him. I loved his determination and perseverance. It was admirable. Plus he's so cute with his crush on Sakura. And when he gets drunk off sake XD

Female- Temari. Well, she's kinda tied with Tsunade. She's a tough girl but still, there's a part of her which is soft. I like girls like that. Badass girls rock my socks. Not to mention she's voiced by Paku Romi, which a huge plus in my book.

I can't actually do this. I have too many favourite boys and I refuse to choose one over another. But they're all in Akatsuki, or affliated with Sound. Except for Aoi. ^^

I actually can't choose a favourite female either. I like a lot of them pretty equally, but maybe Tsunade just sneaks ahead just a little because she's the posterchild for those who hate paperwork. ^^

Kurenai - I'm not even really sure why, but the moment I saw her i was like "Daaaamn." perhaps a combination of the red eyes and the whole only-female-jounin-sensei-that-we-know-about deal. Plus she's way hot, teaches my favorite team, and i really think she could kick some ass if she was allowed the chance. And there's just something intriguing about her...

Kiba - i've always had an affinity for beast men, and once Kiba's 18 he'll fully fit that description. He's brash and loud and rude, but he's also sensitive and funny and practical. He's matured a LOT since the beginning of the show, and i have all these theories about him and Hinata and the way their relationship is displayed... it's fascinating

Male - Hoshigaki Kisame: He's outrageous, funny, and crazy. I love his outfit and weapon, and I can't wait to see what he's capable of later in the series.

Female - Hyuuga Hinata: Maybe cause she's shy, and I can relate with the whole "having a crush but too shy to do anything" schtick. I always find myself rooting for her XD.

Male: Gaara, for having arguably the most character development of anyone in the series and for being pretty badass.

For female: Sakura. She's about as human as they get. Silly at times, idealistic, incredibly imperfect, temperamental, edging into irrationality when it comes to her crush object though we'll call it determination to make it sound better, and with a drive to better herself to top it all off.

Male: Itachi- because he was the character who actually got me to read and watch Naruto again XD" (That's not a joke~ I really got interested into Naruto again because my friend was totally obsessed with Itachi and got me to actually watch some episodes with him and I totally fell in love XD). Ah well... he still is a mystery and I like characters like him: Cold, calm, calculating and cruel. Yet it seems like he does not like to start a fight without a reason but when he's fighting he's great (especially in genjutsu of course ^_~). He is good-looking, actually SMEXY, which is also a reason for me to love him. Another plus is: In his past he was a nice older brother for Sasuke. I loved how he reacted and actually helped his little brother (and I don't believe that EVERYTHING nice he did was done because he wanted to test Sasuke's potential...).

Sasuke is the one who would follow right after Itachi in my fav. characters list... he is actually my second No. 1 for reasons people already posted here but I love Itachi even more than him ^^".

Female: Tsunade - This decision was hard for me because I actually really like Temari, Shizune and Sakura as well. I chose Tsunade at the end because she is a kick-ass woman and her past made me cry... She is actually a strong person but also has her weak sides.

Male: Kakashi. there is no argument. we all know he's smexy under that mask (those big lips in 101 were the real deal... w00! haha) and he's the most well rounded and admits his faults. he is the ultimate ninja

Female: Tayuya. not the most competitant, but yet, she somehow outlives the rest of the transporting 4... and one of the only ones to live up to a village named SOUND. not to mention, she's the only one that looked GOOD in her level 2 form (she was prettier in that form than regularly). It's kind of difficult just paring it down to two, but I suppose if it were completely necessary I'd pick

Gaara - he's got such a unique character design. I love his colors, and the cheeky play on his design as juxtaposed to the fact that Shukkaku is a tanuki. I love his capacity for growth, and how he parallels Naruto perfectly. I love how he has risen over and above his circumstances to be something he never dreamed to be firstly because a.) it is against his very "nature" and "name" (as "the demon who loves only HIMSELF"); b.) the office calls for him to defend the very people who ostracized him; and c.) the very man whose fault it was for making his life miserable (the "father figure") occupied such a position. He makes very interesting faces when he's enraged.

Timejump!Sakura - she's grown too, considerably, and is more well-rounded than before. For one she has a goal, and she works to achieve it; she is able to recognize superiors and thus learn from them (Tsunade and Chiiyo-baa), and with a greater grasp of her situation, she can actually make something of herself. I like her now because instead of crying around waiting for Sasuke to come back and Naruto to fix himself up, she's taking matters into her own hands. A Tsunade Jr. more or less, which is why the female Hokage is one notch lower than Timejump!Sakura in my list. ^^

..You really could have simplified this by asking for least favorite instead. (Though it might have eventually complicated things...) But I really can't say. I just have a bundle of characters standing in line, that won't let me pick. That's probably for the better though, when I decide I definately have a character in a series that I like above the others, they die. (Only example in this series so far is Hayate, and that wasn't really as extreme. (If you count it, there's also Sasuke, I started reading the chapter where Haku 'kills' him, 3 pages before hand decide he's my favorite, then for the next two monthes or so I think he's dead until I wonder why none of the sites mention that he's dead, and went and got update on the latest 200+ chapters. Then I hate him, especially when more choice comes along.)

Male - Deidara (assuming he is male, which I believe is popular opinion, hmm?) Yeah, 277 was kind of lame, and if Kishimoto doesn't give us any past (as opposed to the bookoo's of past given Sasori and Itachi) I will be sorely upset. But seriously, I love me some pyros, and some explosions. I also love the speech pattern, and I'm cosplaying him, which definitly adds more love.

Female - Tayuya, because she kicks ass, looks good doing it, and curses enough to make me proud! 'Nuff said. ^^

Male: Uzumaki Naruto
And to think I started off the series with him as my least favorite character...it's quite a surprising feat Naruto had to go through to arduously climb up from the bottom of my character list and into the inner haven of my heart. Naruto has had the most character development (arguably) from his old annoying, clueless, illusional self to the more considerate, compassionate, yet still a little childish young man he has become. Naruto has gone through the same shit as Sasuke, Gaara, and anybody else with a will-o-angst, but so many people tend to overlook Naruto's childhood traumas because he hides his feelings so well. Despite his facade of openness, I can clearly see that he is indeed one of the deepest and enigmatic characters of the show. He stopped fighting for himself and for his goal of becoming hokage, but ironically, it will be his selfless pursuit of justice that might eventually make him the hokage. Yes, I could talk about how absolutely adorkable he is or how much Takeuchi Junko suits him, but I will spare you the pain and leave it here. ^__^

Female: Tayuya
Tis a pity she had to DIE SO EARLY. She has to be one of the best female ninjas with an actual sparkling (metaphorically speaking) personality. One of my favorite villains as well. And a total dominatrix--she totally OWNED the other Sound nins. XDD

Male:
Itachi - Hands down, it would have to be Uchiha Itachi! There's many reasons why I obsess like about Itachi. You really don't know what his true motives are. He's so mysterious and unpredictable if you have to put it into words. When it comes to him, there are so many questions that are left unanswered. He's cold. Caculating. Powerful.

Not only that, he's uber sexy! XD!

Female:
Well, either it would be Tsunade or Sakura so far...but I'd have to say Tsunade. I love her attitude. Plus the fact that she can kick major ass with her strength.
