Two questions from the manga

I'm reading the Inane version and so... I don't know if these are spoilers... (highly doubt it) but just in case.. since I was flamed last time, here they are under the cut.
The chapters are 277 and 279.


In chapter 277, pg. 16, what's up with Deidara's left eye?

Then in chapter 279, pg. 11, there's that whole picture of Naruto's precious people (I was kinda surprised to see Ebisu there... heh). I'm just wondering who that person is all the way on the right side of the picture.

Concerning Deidara, that's not actually his real eye, it's some sort of ocular device over his eye, like a monocular or some such.

That guy on the right? Hmm... *examines* Can't place him, looks like a random Konoha nin to me! ^^

Deichan has a little device over one of his eyes; whether he actually has two eyes or not isn't clear. A lot of Japanese fan art, for example, depicts him as wearing a patch when he's not wearing the eye piece. Sometimes I draw him that way myself. ^^

I wonder how Deidei is gonna get that thing off his head. Violent headbanging? Then he'd have to redo his hair.

Unless Akatsuki has a hairdresser for such occasions.
