OK! Here we go!
Hinata has made Naruto a bento...
...with food that looks like his head.
Naruto is not very impressed at being expected to eat a miniture version of his own head. Hinata is horribly embarressed by her cute food faux pas.
Kiba feeds the head food to Akamaru...
But Naruto eats it anyway and is very impressed by how delicious it is.
Then Hinata blushes very much.
And onto the plot. ^^
The genin get thier mission from Tsunade. The man next to her has the tallest hat in Konoha.
Their mission is in a Western border town. Obligatory tumbleweed shot and some very nice sepia-esque colours follow.
Akamaru is suspicious!
They go into the saloon....
"Yes of course we're old enough to drink!"
...Where they are saved from dodgy locals and a proper bar room brawl by this fellow, Sazanami (I think that was his name).
They fanboy/girl him a bit. He's intrigued that they're ninja from Konoha, and they and go off with him...
And they tell him about their mission. He leads them away from the town...
....and attacks them!
Hinata goes down first, and then Kiba goes in...
But is taken out. Akamaru rushes in...
...and is also taken out followed by Naruto. Sazanami is very good. He leaves the scene, and we discover that his real motivation is that he wants the genins' target for himself...
He confronts the villainous target in a ravine. The villain, whose name I didn't catch, then does a very nasty jutsu with long nails, which reults in this....
Ow. This is very wince-worthy. Then he hails some more nails down...
Meanwhile our heroes have woken up. They go looking and rescue Sazanami in the nick of time and take him to a cabin to treat him.
Then the cabin is attacked! Our heroes rescue the unconcious Sazanami a second time, but a poster is dropped by the fleeing bounty hunter...
Who is Sazanami?...to be continued!
