So. Sai. IS HE SASUKE?!

My vote is no. I really have nothing to back that up other than these two things:
1) Completely different jutsus
2) Konoha forehead protector. Sasuke's got gashed and he left it behind.

So what's your take?


And even if Sai isn't Sasuke then I still think that Deidara is Ino.


By the way. Kiba = Saiyaman. YES!!!!!!!

NO. Not Sasuke. Why? For the sake of my sanity. I know that Kishimoto-sensei is really sneaky and all, but sneaking in Sasuke through Sai is not only sneaky, it's creepy and cruel T_T it would hurt (so good?). This better not turn into a soap where in the next chapter Naruto knocks Sai's noggin and suddenly pops out of amnesia to reveal he's SASUKE AND OMG I CANNOT FINISH THE THOUGHT--

Sai annoys me. I don't think he's Sasuke at all. He doesn't have the cool Uchiha superiority complex. He also said something about being able to express emotions or lacking emotions. So no, it's not Sasuke.

i call him saisuke just coz it's a lot more fun that way but i don't believe he is sasuke. i think he's more like something sasuke crapped out and then it mutated into a gayer version of him. c'mon, he's wearing a belly shirt AND he's already thinking about naruto's genitalia. he barely even knows him!

While I don't agree with your reasons for Sai not being Sasuke - as over two and a half years Sasuke could have and should have learnt new jutsus, and dark ones are Orochi's style and even Kabuto had a konoha forehead protector, I still you're right that he isn't, simply because I highly doubt Naruto wouldn't recognize Sasuke, and I think it more impossible that Tsunade or the Elders wouldn't recognize him, or send him back towards Orochi. That was one hell of a run on sentence, but I'm tired. >

He COULD have learned new jutsus but what would the point be of having this DRAWING jutsu when he had like...the chidori.

Also, he COULD have gotten one. But Sasuke doesn't seem like the type that would wear one for no reason.

Actually I think you misunderstand - I don't think Sai is Sasuke, I was just pointing out that the reasoning that the poster is basing his/her proof of such is flawed.

The reason I wish Sai were Sasuke is because then SasuNaru could come back in the series >_> Also because I don't like new characters very much, mostly when they suddenly become a main character forever. And because SaiSasu would make me want to stab myself.

But the reason he would learn new jutsus is to disguise himself, because if he used chidori, they would find out right away. Same with the forehead protector, he could have gotten a new one to help his disguise.

The reason that I don't think he is Sai is because of Sai's introduction a couple of chapters back, where Sai was kneeling in front of the guy which is something Sasuke would definitely not do, and since they were in private, Sasuke could have been Sasuke anyway.

Nup. I don't think Sai is Sasuke for the reasons:
1. Naruto (and the rest of Konoha) doesn't recognise him if he is.
2. Sasuke won't be caught dead in that kind of manbra (thank you, whoever made that one up) because he's too much of a prude.
3. It's obvious that Sai's going to be the one going with Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi - when they finally see Sasuke again, Sai will rile Sasuke up like nobody's business with his foul mouth and lack of personal connections to him.
4. Which in turn will make for great entertaiment, because I can already see Sai poking fun at Sasuke.
5. After the time gap of the manga, it would be too restrictive not to have new characters. It keeps the story fresh, because then we'd the same characters doing pretty much what the genin-chuunin-dog group did.

Sai has that very odd lip curl thing. I thought it was a scanlation problem or something when he was first revealed, but now I know.

Sasuke doesn't have it, so... yeah. Unless it was placed there for disguise purposes...

But I mean, we all know Sasuke is gay, but Sai just TAKES THE FRIGGIN CAKE. Bared stomach? Bishounen smile? URRRRRRRGH. Sai's cute, he's HELLA cute, but he's just SO. DAMN. GAAAAAAAAAAAY
