So my friend and I were discussing the Clans (especially the Hyuugas, because they're crazy and crazy intrigues us) and we somehow got onto the subject of marriage. Well, we began to wonder if the members of Clans did arranged marriages. This could be plausible, because it very well could be that the Hyuugas (they will be the main example here, because they're not...well, dead!/unknown), who go to such extremes to protect their bloodline ability, would want their children marrying choice people to have a bunch of kids with to pass on the creepy eye powers. (I say the latter in jest. I make fun because I love!)
Beh, I just figured I'd bring it up to get some people's thoughts.

Speaking of the creepy eyes, is it just me, or is it that whenever we see any of the Hyuugas, they ALL have the same eye colour? (Ie, here and here) Now, either they're only showing the ones with the Byakugan, or they're doing some MAJOR inbreeding.
And where the heck are those kids' mothers? We got to see Sasuke's mom, why not Neji's or Hinata's?

Alright, shuting up now. I think too much. It will be my downfall.

I had always thought (haha, i've had this discussion with friends many times) that while the Uchiha may have arranged marriages, the Hyuuga might marry within the family. How else could they all look the same and have the same eyes?

That's just what we thought though.

I wouldn't be surprised, yo.
When I first saw Neji and Hinata, I was like, "Omg, they both look the same! Or is it just me? *nervous giggle*" Such obvious family traits. ^D^

I always hoped the Uchihas intermarried with the Hyuugas...but I doubt it. Sasuke with purple eyes! yey! "I'm blind! Someone help me..."

If the inbreeding went on for so long it would result in deformities and mental retardation. My vote is the Bykuagan (sp?) gene is so strong it shows up in the kid regardless of whether it comes from one or both parents. I think that family is so arrogant that in-laws aren't considered "true" clan members..or something. Hence not being in the family group gatherings.

Yeah, Sasuke's mom was a ninja as well. ^_^

In the databook it says she was a jounin.

The other day I read a fic where it was suggested the Uchiha and Hyuuga clan were once the same. I think it makes sense, the Baky-why can't I spell?!-always seemed to me, to be a weaker version of the Sharingan. I can totally see a reality where aaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago the clans were one, then the first B. was a deformity, that person was outcast or something..then it showed up again, and voila, after years, there is a new clan. or something. X_X

What databook?

I totally hate that female ninjas are so disregarded. "why bother learning to be a ninja? your chakra is weaker and you'll just have to become a housewife anyway!" aauugh.

Well, it's mentioned in the manga and the anime that The Uchihas were thought to have originated from the Hyuugas anyway. So, which family would be considered the throwback?

oh okay. I don't read the manga so I'm missing a huge chunk of canon knowledge.
I think the Sharingan is more powerful, and I guess that would make sense genetically if considered an evolution. I always wondered why the hell Sasuke doesn't use it the same way Kakashi does. Why isn't he copying other people's techniques likesayidunno Rasengan, the same way Kakashi copied Zabuza's water techniques?

2nd databook.

Female ninjas are not disregarded. Not within the story at least.

Kunoichi.

It always fascinates me that so many people seem to think raising children is such a lowly and unworthy thing for a person to do...

I think Sasuke has been copying the techniques. I wouldn't be surprised if, when we see him again, he uses rasengan or something against Naruto.

I personally prefer the Byakugan over the Sharingan. As far as I know, it's got a nice strong base and admittedly hasn't evolved much, like sharingan, but it isn't damaging like the new sharingan thingy. *too tired to look for details*
I like the whole, "I seee youuuuu, even from over heeeeere!"

uh I mean what *is* a databook.
I think if they have to have a seperate word to say specifically "FEMALE ninja" then it's a bit of a disregard. like not-so-long-ago in the real word when the first women in professions were called "lady doctor" or "lady judge".

*snort GIGGLE!* I love that about it too. Oh christ, you've plotbunnied me.
Neiji: I'm bored. *reads porn over kakashi's shoulder*

but Sasuke has seen the rasengan before. If he could've learned it from the fight on the hospital roof, why not use it during the fight on the waterfall? If it's within his chakra range, I think he should be using it. I can understand him not using the mass shadow clone technique cause that's really not his style. but for the life of me I can't think of any technique Sasuke has copied off someone else after seeing them do it. As far as I know, the Sharingan is ...I dunno, either Sasuke sucks at it because he has no one to train him how to use it, or he doesn't want to use it like kakashi cause he think copying is lame.

There are two databooks now; they basically have a little biography of each character and their stats and some facts about them, like favourite foods and life philosophy and stuff. Then at the back, they have a section about jutsu. They're in Japanese of course and due to their size there isn't a complete translation of either of them, though people are working on it I think and lots of sections have been done and can be found. ^^

I don't see 'kunoichi' as disrespectful. But different people have different levels of sensitivity about it I guess.

Women in Naruto suck in general. I've long been nursing an essay about how disapointing that is.
Men: We go off to war and get killed! you there! reproduce so my blood limit doesn't die with me!
Women: duuuh okay! :D

Yeah, maybe Sasuke likes to stick within Uchiha things, like the Katon-yadda-yadda jutsus etc (Katon could mean bum, the way my spelling goes).
*snort* it'd be funny if he had this awesome sharingan but was never taught how to use it (which apparently, he wasn't) and he's been wandering around going "fire-ball flowers, like daisies! whee!" when he could've been making volcanoes erupt and elephants have babies.

I certainly hope not...
Unless he had matching clothes xD

I think Sasuke's so busy trying to attain the Mangekyou or a new level of Sharingan that he can't see other options as much. However, I could see him copying another's technique if he considers it powerful enough.

They should learn how to do what Yondaime did, except instead of transplanting demons into bellies, put babies into magically appearing wombs within men.

I always feel sad for Tsunade who lost Dan(?). Sje's so cool and strong but doesn't have, I hate to say it, the man of her dreams.
