Possiblity of SaiSakura?

I've just noticed this, but has anyone else thought about the possibility of SaiSakura? Mostly because Sai is pretty much a less stoic version of Sasuke, and I can't seem to imagine history not repeating itself.

I can sort of imagine Sakura letting go because of Sai and blah. I think too much. Any suggestions?

While I'm certainly no shipper of SasuSaku, I don't see Sakura falling for Sai based on his Uchiha-like looks. I also don't think Sakura and Naruto will be all that accepting to him as Sasuke's supposed replacement. From the little of Sai that we have seen, I think it will be interesting to see how he introduces himself to Sakura. Personally, I think he's more of an asshole than Sasuke ever was, but..eh, I'm probably just being a tiny bit biased.

He probably is an asshole, but Sai's got this charm that Sasuke never posessed, so I can sort of see Sakura eventually warming towards him.

I'm not sure if Sai will stay long enough for that, though. Something tells me that he's only a temporary character. :/

However, like the person below me said, Sakura seems pretty serious about Sasuke. I doubt some new guy, charm or new charm, is going to sway her. Esp. when people like Naruto and Lee, who have certainly impressed her and changed her, couldn't sway her in regards to love. (Sad to say, IMO.)

I have to agree with thomasvye. At first I didn't really care about Sai. The way he acted after the penis comment (smiling like nothing was wrong) caught my attention and now I think he's interesting. I think if he keeps acting this way I'll definitely be a Sai fangirl, too.

I don't think that Sakura will start developing feelings for Sai. If she does, I'll loose all respect for her. I've actually liked her character from the beginning, and if she suddenly forgets about her love for Sasuke it'd be a huge mistake on Kishimoto's part. Pretty much the only thing Sakura has had with her throughout the whole series is her devotion to Sasuke, however shallow it was at first. The only way I can see SaiSakura happening is if Sai deceives her and Sakura "falls from grace", but I think that sub-plot would be one too many and it'd upset a lot of the fans, those who support SasuSaku and those that don't.

This came up on a thread at heavenseal but it was more of a joke then. We want our Sasuke to stay nice and gay. XD

Anyway, all jokes aside... as much as I would like Sakura to get over Sasuke... She already gave him the bleeding heart I love you plea already... Usually in anime, that's rock solid. Unless Sakura has some realization that Sasuke isn't going to love her back, I can't see her letting go.

And on top of that, I would want to throttle Kishimoto for making me live through episodes of "Sasuke-kun!!!!" moans from Sakura for no reason!

Then again, there's glimmer of hope I have... that she just grows up and moves on (whether its to Sai or Lee [woo SakuraxLee!] or no one at all).

Or maybe she'll be like Tsunade! Bachelorette Power!

WOAH. A Narusaku fan! A rare sight! XD Not like I'm degrading you or anything, Narusaku to me seems like a very cute pairing, but it's so freakin' rare to find fanart or fanfiction of it. O_O;

OKAY. BACK TO ON-TOPIC. I don't think Sakura will EVER get over her crush over Sasuke. EVER!!! Unless he does something completely drastic like... blow up the entire village. But I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. XD Sakura has pretty solid feelings for Sasuke that transcend looks or accomplishments to the surprise/disagreement to MOST PEOPLE. And Sai... I would rather think our present Sakura is more mature than fall head over heels over a guy she just met, especially one who has dubious motives and a shady background.

I think Sai is going to be the self-proclaimed 'leader' of the group, which will probably turn Sakura off. I think Ino is more likely to swoon over him because of his resemblance to Sasuke.

I'm not a HUGE fan of SasuSaku (and I give high-fives to all the NaruSaku fans on this post), but Sakura's too devoted to Sasuke to just suddenly fall for this new guy. I think she might be a little physically attracted to Sai because of his resemblance to Sasuke (but in my opinion he doesn't really look THAT much like Sasuke). Y'know, blushing and all that.

Also, I have a hard time imagining "emotion-less" Sai falling for Sakura. Or anyone for that matter :O

Sorry, but... I dont think it's gonna happen. Ever. Sakura's fallen COMPLETELY for Sasuke (bad taste in men, perhaps?). And she thinks of Kakashi as a teacher. Kakashi, at best, thinks of her as a talented coworker. Why would they ruin their professional relationship by dating? Plus, shinobi aren't supposed to get emotionally involved. Remember Yuugao and Hayate? Yeah, that's why.
